Red White - Scandinavian dairy animal apparently
Red and white holstein?
There is red and white holstein in his breeding but it seems it may be lumped in as a generic breed code to include scandi breeding.
Ancestry is down as MY which is MRI, RW which is seemingly Red White scandi, RB which is Rotbunte and PZ which is Pinzgauer.
I have the most hybrid vigor dairy bull in Ireland. He'll be putting cows incalf just by looking at them.

Ta da.
And ta ta. Cheers.
Post a photo of him please
I'll get one tomorrow. He still really has a lot of filling out to do. But to me looks good.
Dutch red and white meat breed? Sorry see it's already solved now
You can still get a horn at 50.
I have Danish Reds and they are listed as RW's.
He's just gone two year old in March. Came off slatted tank with rubber mats yesterday.
the odd gangster on it too bullshi thing about his week.
You can but it's harder (no pun) to get one and you may as well forget about it during calving
Afaik it was applies to red and white breeds when they were new to the system, Swedish and Danish reds in particular. Should be good milky stock I general.
P.S. Answered already I see, I'm late for my bonus twix.
He's a grand looking bull, but much too white for my taste. The only problem with mixed breeding is the potential for a wide variation in the progeny.
I don't know, when you'd be in and out of the bed at all ours, things can get stirred up, it can be hard to get back to sleep sometimes...
your out of practice or maybe a change of scenery needed,,,,,,
There's a cow with 4% protein and 6% fat in his back breeding. I'll forgive him if he throws that.
Father said the same about the white. But we don't get many snowstorms here so I doubt I'll loose him. He was the whitest bull the breeder had. And sure I have to give the underdog a go.
I see Hannah Quinn is making friends again. People on Reddit are going mad and directing their anger at farmers because of her latest article.Shes basically giving out about the free meal scheme in schools saying that middle class shouldn't get it for free and we should provide a better standard of meals like organic sourced produce.
she’s painfull tbh ….on the school meal was great job at start my daughter gets it but over last few months quality of food is dire …lot of days it goes uneaten ,teachers in class are in agreement too ,numerous complaints have been made to providers but seem to be falling on deaf ears …even if food isn’t ordered lot food still gets sent ….more public sector waste
Agreed on all fronts there the meals here are muck. God help us but Hannah is full to the brim with the same muck....
Kids here won't eat it, and the German shepherd who gets the boxes of it sent him, has stopped eating it, tooka bite of the chicken nuggets one day and it was horrendous, cheapest muck they can source by the looks of
Those Ad lib ration feeders are handy for calves but I lost a 7 week old heifer calf with bloat last night. Stuck a pin in her at 10 o clock last night and thought she'd be fine. Also gave her 60ml of liquid parafin. She died at 4 o clock.
I'm just counting my blessings that all cows are on 4 legs... touch wood. Alot of them going to dairy and yards are slippy.
A few small buckets of sand around the holding yard is a great for giving cows grip.
The ones we picked out would have been only 10 & 11 months old and the worst of them, usually they’d go in calf next year then, calve down as 3 year olds.
We couldn’t put everyone of the maiden heifers all in calf as we’d have 90 heifers coming in there, a replace rate of about 45% 😂😂
Comes from the days of the shorthorn i think, but maybe it predates it too, nobody wanted a white heifer long ago, they were seen as poor thrivers, cold cattle.
Maybe they would absorb less heat from the sun? They might have been more vulnerable if they encountered photosensitivity?
A stopped clock and all that but Hannah might have a point about the school dinners. Absolute worst of processed foods being sent to kids who don't need it, and a sixth class child getting the same as an infant, heaven help us!
You'd spot the kids of the dodgy parents who're still on them in our school, and it isn't a shortage of money or resources, they just couldn't be arsed getting lunches and dinners for their kids, "too busy".
A box ticking exercise with more contracts for big business if ever there was one.
The money should be spent on those that need them, including and especially deprived pre-schoolers, that's where the worst damage can be prevented.
If one child is getting fed at school that's not getting food at home it's a good thing, but I agree on the waste and processed food. Unfortunately there are kids who experience hunger and neglect and they shouldn't be left hungry.
Up around here it's always said white for heifers and black (or dark colour) for bulls (and calves). Think it comes from the shorthorn days too and the white being more associated with the dairy type and the red or darker being associated with the beef side. People's eyes are not able to readily see a quality shaped white animal over a solid colour too. Or they tell themselves that to pick whiter animals up for better value and make more margin and get the seller to accept so.
my kids won’t eat the school lunches anymore- would - would rather grannies soup when they get home
I went on a short holiday to Wexford a few years ago and my young lad who was 5 or 6 ordered cabbage bacon and spuds- the women was shocked and congratulated myself and my wife for feeding our kids real food
most schools my way send any lunches box's and any un eaten lunches home with the kids where the parents can have it for some of there supper very nice from what I'm hearing potato wedges, pasta bake, beef bolognese all handsome and no waste what's so ever
😁😁 tell me you haven't ate any school lunches …
