Did you buy today?
SIX 510kg February 2023 €2010 hit the grass this morning.
You bought fine cattle, if prices stay well you could make great money
well ware
Good stock @Aly Daly the very best of luck with them...
Anyone with prices for the coming week
I think 8.05 for heifers in foyle that includes qa and all
Mad that that seems like good value. Bought a few last week.
4 AAX 477kg €1980 21mts
3 PTX(Dairy) 450kg €1700 19-21mts
2 LMX (Suckler) 420kg €1860 20 mts
I think they are dear but should still leave a decent return, but all depends on current prices holding.
What are PTX like to finish ? never had em before
I don't now anything about ptx I would say the other cattle are reasonable value from the madness I witnessed on Saturday
Are the six fresian cross?, what weights do you hope to have these the end of the year?
Friesan x will be sold first week in October,3kg nuts last 60 days & past experience of SIX doing 1.25kg per day.
€10 flat offered on a load (13) of QA AAX for next week....
WTF!
Bullocks or heifers?
I think you should hold out. Heard rumour of 10.50 being available in one plant up the north.
Has to be April fools lads....
Well done...i had a few of ye going though...
Id say we aren't too far off that the way its going!!
Isn't it some sight that people are fit to belive it tho.... means it might be possible ?!
It's actually mad stuff when you see it graphed
There's very steady prices in South America though. We're tracking the UK and US prices.
Super stuff
Word of caution with the Brazil price they devalued their currency last year and that would explain the dip
what happened toi Australia?
It will go Bang at some point lads.
Will it be before or after the €10 mark?!
No market, whether it be house prices, the stock market or the price of tulips, ever went from a rapid boom like that to a "soft landing".
Some are gong to be hurt by the bang. Hopefully it's not too drastic when it comes and prices settle somewhere around the €7 mark.
As things are going, €10 could be hit by June.
No saying it won't go bang but what will cause it?..seems to be a world wide shortage of beef and no big amount of stock available to flood the market to bring back price ant time soon
Looking at my own records the yearly average of beef price has been rising the past 3 years consecutively till now when it has rocketed up..hard see what could make it all crash now?

it doesn’t take much to create n economic shock wave that’s starts a spiral.
Good question. Who knows?!
Lehmann Brothers going bust was the trigger for the 2008 global financial crash. Some economists predicted that crash would come but no one knew what would be the trigger before it happened.
When and where will the beef market peak is another unknown question too.
In a year or twos time, hindsight will be a great thing, but if anyone knew these answers now they could stand to make a lot of money. It's all speculation until after it happens.
Sure beef has being crazy in the states the last few years and it hasn't gone bust yet year or year it was being better than the previous year
Wherever price ends, it’ll all seem obvious and inevitable in hindsight 😂
We got offered €8.05 flat for 17 continental bullocks from two factories in the North East
an Angus cow made 3940 in Delvin this morning. Whoever sold her went home happy
These lads will be on meal 90 days in 2 weeks,..we're getting tender on the feet on the slats. Still on the same diet as indoors..(adlib 73dmd silage and 6kg of meal) but just out in a sheltered bare paddock with the sun on there backs.
Should be nicely ready for factory in 14 days
I wonder are the butchers buying beef for easter instead of lamb because lamb is too expensive?
