Starting a thread for 2025 gigs as they'll likely start rolling in.
I'll arbitrarily throw in Rob Beckett playing the Olympia on the 26th September 2025 which went on sale today.
Thought Body and Soul had already announced dates for June but looks like they're having some wake yoke instead in August. https://nialler9.com/bodysoul-festival-tease-a-wake-weekender-this-august/
Got one for Manchester. Saw them there - in a different venue - in 2008. Amazing experience live.
crazy downgrade
Serious downgrade, then losing main support and cutting prices....I'd assume it'll be 2 nights but never know. Gas if only did 1. Don't think the US leg selling all that well anyway
how much were they trying to charge? US ticket prices are absolute bonkers to begin with and a lot of people will be watching wallets with the shenanigans trump and muskrat are pulling with economies.
from $60-250 with decent ones being $100 ish
The 2 Johnnies doing INEC Killarney Kerry in October, day and night shows
not the worst by a long shot, maybe a lot of fans thought they should have stayed unreformed after Chester.
Insert Nelson HA HA gif here
I'm kinda in the same boat, she's not the worst singer but not sure she has the power to pull of LP tunes. Even if they announced a show here I wouldnt be overly interested especially its only 1/2 the band touring
I saw them in the o2 last September and they were excellent. I thought their new album had been doing good numbers so I'm surprised about the reduction in capacity of where they're playing...
What a time to be alive.
Not surprising, I'm sure there's a lot of fans who are still not taking to her and I think the scientology aspect would be something a lot won't be able to ignore,
In saying that they're doing well in Europe and South America which I'd imagine they're more popular anyways, selling out stadiums,
Saw them at the O2 in September and it was an unreal night and I'm seeing them again over in Wembley in June and that's practically sold out as well, I think they're just not as popular in the US, they were also never stadium level from my limited memory of them so this won't last
Edit:
To add to this they're also offering raffles for people to enter for tickets, you enter and if you win you pay $39 and you can be put anywhere in the venue like Coldplay do with the infinity tickets so that US tour isn't going to plan
Anyone seen Joan as Police Woman in the last couple of years? Off to see her next week and was wondering what her recent performances were like as I've not seen her for a decade. Used to be an exceptional live performer so hoping that's still the case.
pitchfork London announced. Solid stuff
A few good acts there, and I'm aware that it's only a first announcement but that looks pretty poor to me particularly given the venues used, three that are pretty sizeable. It'll undoubtedly get fleshed out but their Parisian fests have always been far superior to this.
not really. Royal Albert hall is perfect for king gizzard and orchestra. Roundhouse for oklou/Erika de Casier and Laurie Anderson seems spot on. unwound & divide/dissolve in koko double bill is strong as well. Paris festival has moved to multi venue set up so it’s not far off London for last few years. No great disparity in the acts.
No Gizz date for Dublin. Again.
Sold out the Olympia last time.
too expensive for Olympia now. Probably a festival in 2026 for their next Irish show
Think it's likely we'll see Rilo Kiley tour here? I see they're a decent sized US tour announced and Jenny Lewis played the Academy a few years ago and great gig it was too, so probably be a MCD show
Really? They play some tiny venues elsewhere.
wouldn’t be surprised if primavera grabs them for 2026 and they do a run of europe shows either side of that
Yeah, you're right about Paris after a quick check of previous lineups. My error. I must have been thinking of Chicago where they always have goodies.
I'm just surprised that given the venues, particularly the Albert Hall (6k capacity) and Roundhouse (3,300) there aren't more bigger acts. This will surely change?
The Dalston day would be class. Some excellent venues on that list.
king gizzard in royal Albert will fly out. Laurie Anderson in roundhouse will be a bit slow. oklou/Erika de Casier in roundhouse will fly out. acts/venues seem spot on
Nick Mulvey with a fair few Irish dates. Wonder is that gig in St Lukes in Cork part of Sounds From A Safe Harbour?
More a case of fully using the venues for the event. Only one night booked of four potential dates at the RAH, two at the RH. An opportunity there for Pitchfork to book some impressive acts and match Chicago. But it's seven months away so I'd expect a fair few additions.
To answer my own q, it's a SFASH gig alright
Got an MBV 3 Arena ticket just now (not on resale) but there's a few available on resale too.
sure Chicago festival is now dead as it was losing millions. I’m sure Albert hall and roundhouse have other events locked in for those dates. It’s not a complete takeover of those venues for days upon days. there will be a few additions but nothing massive I’d say
Extremely frustrating
