Guy Ritchie new tv show with Tom Hardy, Paddy Considine, Helen Mirren and Pierce Brosnan
Looks worth a watch.
Pierce's accent though 😂
That's one of the worst trailers I've ever seen 🤣
Brosnan went through about 4 different accents, all of them terrible
Just do yourself a favour and watch Gangs of London instead
Gangs of London was good for about 5 episodes
I've only seen the first series so far, but I thought it got stronger as it went on. It took a while for the characters to find their feet, thought it settled better in the end
Indeed - the ones which were directed by Gareth Evans, who has a movie coming out the 25th of April also starring Tom Hardy called Havoc.
Just seen the trailer and I thoroughly agree. When someone puts on an accent like that it's a sure sign they're bailing out early. It's by Guy Richie so it's going to be all shapes and no substance more than likely.
reminds me of the series by guy Ritchie called the gentleman
Watched the first episode, Pierce's and Helen Mirren's Irish/Kerry accents in this are just terrible and kind of ruin the show, I am unsure if it's intentional for them to be so bad to ad comedic value, that's the only sense I can make of it.
Would it be better if all episodes dropped
I thought it was okay, granted two of the actors can’t keep the same accent going for long but Tom hardly is very good, I spotted 2 actors from top boy to far
Brosnan and Mirren's Irish accents possibly rival Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman in Far and Away for awfulness. But otherwise it's not that bad. Not a must watch but if you're between shows it's ok.
Hardy being tough guy Hardy who I can understand (WTF Taboo) is the mvp for me but I'm probably bias, it is typical Ritchie in dialogue and flair, I'd prefer it as a binge watch, all episodes
A hit , safe to say a 2nd series will likely follow

I'm 15 minutes in and don't think I can watch any more.. it's absolutely dreadful!
despite her many accomplishments Helen Mirrens accent is soo bad its hard to listen to & brosnans is a disgrace considering he is from Navan ! thye should have used cockney accents altogether brutal, loved Tom hardy though he is a good actor and quietly menacing !
Snap..did the exact same
Once I got past Brosnan & Mirren's atrocious accents (which wasn't easy) I actually thought the first episode wasn't too bad. The jury is still very much out. But the I'll give the second episode a watch.
Haven't seen the show. Saw Brosnan talk about it with Stephen Colbert. During the production, Pierce was told to 'go more Irish' with the accent. His Ma is 91, btw.
I thought episode 2 was very good
The whole doing coke with granny scene was rather weird.
many weird things like the puzzle in the box
Great TV series, and a great movie too.
Actually once you get passed how bad Bronson and Mirran's accents it's pretty good. Looking forward to episode 3.
While I wait for that I've started watching Gangs of London, episode 1 is quite promising and I see Gareth Evans the writer and director of Gangs of London has a new Netflix movie called Havoc coming out this month and it stars Tom Hardy.
Its ok. Like a lot of guy richies stuff, all style little substance.
Good english crime drama is "this city is ours".
I'm finding it a bit of a chore. I hate most of the characters. Especially Helen Mirren's but I expect that's what you're supposed to think. It'll probably descend into all out violence now but it's poor stuff overall.
fella pissing himself at the end was funny
That was the best episode so far imo. Maeve and Conrod are really horrible individuals. Maeve especially from what she did last episode and this week's.
I don’t think you get to be the head of an organised crime group being nice and it would make a boring show
The grandson is a complete prick, I’m not sure how the folks escape the Mexican gang
I'm loving this so far. Tom Hardy is great, especially when he turns the menace factor up to 11. Happy to see Paddy Considine starring, he should be getting way more work than he does. Brosnan and Mirren's accents didn't bother me really.
Are the Harrigan's loosely based on the Kinahans by any chance?
Just need to spend a morning in Kerry, and Brosnan and Mirren's accents seem like south county Dublin compared to there.
This show has really gained momentum after adjusting to the first couple of episodes. Great stuff!
