He is someone I meant to mention on the site today, well yesterday, at this point, but didn't know where to put it. I was thinking of mentioning him here,
but it didn't seem appropriate, for obvious reasons. I found here by typing his name in the search bar.
But there are people who you think about from time to time, and they mustn't have long left, sadly. Clint Eastwood is another person, he turned 96 at the end of last month. I switched on the radio a few days ago and they were talking about him, his last acting performances and directing. I immediately, please don't tell me he's died.
We'll have to start a separate thread for the centenarians, put Mel, Eve Marie Saint, Dick Van Dyke in it!
I just saw that William Daniels (99) and Bonnie Bartlett (97) celebrated their 75th wedding anniversary two weeks ago.
