Starting a thread for 2025 gigs as they'll likely start rolling in.
I'll arbitrarily throw in Rob Beckett playing the Olympia on the 26th September 2025 which went on sale today.
Same here, I really need to start setting reminders for things like this. Hoping some come up as resale closer to the time.
Got two for the Thursday night. Steeped.
I rang them and I got a ticket delighted

Not sure if this has already been posted, seems theyre struggling to attract the acts,
What's the reason behind this you reckon? My feeling is promoters won't take a risk in such a gig and that fact either end of the stadium consists of a standing section which would be an insurance nightmare along with Aiken seemingly only promoter putting gigs on in there
“So lest anyone think we are idle, you are at the discretion of the major acts' touring diaries; it's not your diary it's theirs”
Promoters and venues are at the discretion of the acts and their schedules. they have no power in this situation. if an international act is of the calibre to sell 40k tickets in cork, they have dozens of other promoters and bigger cities to play in the short window of summer stadiums. It’s hard enough for promoters to get a single Dublin date off massive acts, little to no chance of getting a second night off them the county. Given aiken close relationship to Bruce and Elton etc they were able to get those dates off them for PUC in recent years. and promoters are not going to gamble millions of euros on PUC shows. It has to be sure things. what acts can actually sell 40k tickets in cork?
I'd say she'd wreck your head at a gaff party but she's definitely talented.
Gaga is announcing an arena tour in Europe.
Wonder if Ireland will get a date
That would be great, as I think the last time in Ireland was for the ArtRave tour, 11 years ago. Not holding my breath, but you never know.
Hopefully it's not a case that her stage is so elaborate that the 3Arena wouldn't be suitable for it,
Gave her latest album a spin and think it's decent, Probably be better live hopefully we get a date, would have thought there would be quite a demand to see her that would be bigger than Arenas
It probably will be the case. Dates are leaking and no sign of Dublin again. Announcement coming in a few hours, so we will know then
Dates are out, no Dublin. Oh well
She announced the dates skipped Ireland...
ireland is always a secondary market.
wrong
no I ain’t. Geographical and population wise we are down the pecking order
https://www.rte.ie/news/business/2025/0131/1494124-3arena-box-office/
3arena is ranked 8th in Europe for box office revenue, that's not taking into account stadium shows and other venues, sure wasn't it I read that Coldplay's most profitable nights were off the back of Croke Park
Highly subjective. To some artists, yes. To others, absolutely not.
That's correct, they made more in one night than multiple nights in some other venues.
Starsailor in the Academy in December - one to add to my list
my wallet disagrees
secondary in sense that international touring bands from USA, Canada and Europe will always play London, paris, Berlin and amsterdam on every tour. Those are the lynchpins primary markets. Dublin does get 90/95% of international touring acts. Maybe not as frequently as London etc.
Does it cost much more to come here? Surely big acts sell out here regardless, so is there extra effort needed to come to Ireland? I get that acts can only play some many venues in a tour, but wondering what would make them more or less likely to come here?
Thumpasaurus, Whelans, Friday 15th August: https://www.whelanslive.com/event/thumpasaurus/
Missed them in the Academy a year or two ago, not sure i even like them, but i'll pop along to this out of curiosity. Very reasonably priced too at €17.45 before fees.
Holly Johnson at Vicar Street, 25th September.
Advertised as 40th Pleasuredome anniversary, though it's a bit more than 40 years from the release of the album.
Might be of interest to some in the group. 2 for 1 tickets for some of the gigs in National Concert Hall next month with Bryce Dessner, Sam Amidon, This Is the Kit etc. Great value with that offer!
21 quid for an excellent seat for that line up on a Saturday night is fantastic alright.
Aware of the disease but not a sufferer 😊
Thumper 'In The Round', The Complex, Friday 6th June: https://www.thecomplex.ie/event/the-depot-sessions
Venue is a studio space between Jervis and Capel St by the looks of it. I've always wondered about these 'in the round' shows. Unless it's revolving are people basically looking at the back and sides of the stage for the duration? I can't see the appeal if that's the case. Fair play on the €15 entry though.
First week in June has five consecutive nights of gigs now if i was so inclined.
yeah costs alot more to travel here Especially when talking about arena or stadium shows. Dozens of trucks have to go on the ferry, carnets/brexit paperwork if coming to or to uk after. Sometimes fee being offered doesn’t make sense. Band has to take hit playing ireland, versus profitable shows in the uk. logisitcs/routing plays big part as well in what cities are played on tours
I remember them supporting Doves in TBMC around 2001ish I guess - reminds me, shame Doves aren't touring here - quite like the new album
Capacity for gagas gig in Mediolanum forum in milan is 12700. So capacity is not an issue here for 3arena. But all arenas on her tour are basketball/hockey type. Stage itself could be a problem. I think shes just checking demand right now just like Linkin Park did and theres gonna be a bigger stadium tour in 2026
