Ah well, City of Wolves is out next month. I got myself a new joystick in anticipation.
Did you buy it because it's the only way to play Ace Combat 6?
Never played a Fatal Fury before. Might give it a try, probably easier to jump into rather than trying SF6 at this stage. I also have MK1 but kinda can't be bothered trying the leverless on it, I really disliked the Kameo system they introduced.
Well done son. Well done. I am so proud of you.
He's probably downloading an Ace Combat Collection as I type this post 😂
I'd advise to wait for reviews. It's getting incredible word of mouth but there's two sides of SNK. King of Fighters is great but execution in those games is nuts, while they also made the more recent samurai shodown which is one of the most accessible fighting games out there with easy universal inputs, easy to learn and tonnes of depth. I'm hoping City of Wolves follows Mark of the Wolves in being a very approachable fighter with loads of depth.
Might even be worth holding out for Virtua Fighter 6, that's a series that is incredibly easy to learn yet has mountains of depth, unlike Tekken which I feel adds depth by just complicating systems.
My advice is to raid the backwards compatibility store. Some incredible games on there like Panzer Dragoon Orta, Ninja Gaiden Black etc.
First port of call, the 2 Ori games.
Right, how does Panzer Dragoon compare to Legend of Dragoon?
Is Ori not on PlayStation? I'd suggest playing Sunset Overdrive, super game.
I'll definitely be getting VF6 regardless. Don't think I played VF5 but I definitely enjoyed VF4 a lot. Excited to see it make a comeback, even if it only ends up looking half as good as the inital reveal leaks.
Surprisingly few good Xbox games from the last two generations that aren’t now multi-platform, but there is more than enough of an interesting selection on GamePass to never have to settle for Starfield.
I was going to try keep this going until April 1st but I just can't 🤣 Helping a friend set up an xbox one for their kids. Lads, the controller is TERRIBLE! Dunno how anyone could prefer this over the dualsense. Batteries. BATTERIES! What is this the 90's??!!
I will say though, i started an xbox account and got offered 2 weeks of ultimate for 1 euro... I feel like i inadvertently stepped on a slippery dark slide. I might actually borrow it from them if the kids aren't using it much.
Actually, ye might be able to help. I've tried a couple of games to test and they all want me signing in, immortals fenix rising as an example. Do i need to create them an xbox account to play any game, even single player offline? I was hoping i could set them up without having to do that?
YOU DON'T DESERVE ANY HELP AFTER SCARING US LIKE THAT!
Plus also, I don't know the answer to your query.
You slippery eel! I know you buying an Xbox was too good to be true.
If we ever race in GT7 online again, I will ram you off the track.
Not sure how you can hate the controller. It feels lovely, one of the best I've ever used. In fairness Sony's last two controllers they finally fixed the ergonomic issues with them but the biggest difference between the PS5 controller and Xbox is that battery compartment. The battery life of the dual sense is awful and gets worse with age and it's hard to replace the battery. On Xbox, get a cheap charging kit and it last hours.
Still no where near as good as the magic of the switch pro controller which seems to have some perpetual motion engine or something because that thing has never once run out of battery.
Which i would fully deserve.
Can't believe we're discussing Xbox on this most sacred of days in Playstation History…
Just got a notification that the new Indy game has been announced on a proper console finally... 80 euro??? I'd love to play it but gonna wait for a sale/ps plus/my very own xbox before paying that.
Hey all, was thinking of signing up to Playstation Plus again….what is the current game library like in there at the moment? Are the different tiers worth it?
I wouldn't mind a good Golf sim if that was included too :)
Me, you, Jim and Marty must race together again.
List of games in the link below. The only golf games I see though are the likes of Everybody's Golf, not golf sims. Think you'd need to spring for the EA Play membership too, but not sure.

For the standard PS+ tier (PS+ Essential), you get monthly free games and online play etc. For the library of games to play, you need PS+ Extra. The top tier, PS+ Premium, gives the full library and classic games (ie. PS1-PS2), plus cloud streaming of games.
Unless you really want the classic games or cloud streaming, the PS+ Extra tier is probably the best option.
that's one plus for having Xbox, not having to pay full price for some AAA games. Indy is a good game though and you will have Atomfall and Doom Dark Ages free with Game pass on launch
The batteries thing is easily resolved, my kid has the rechargeable ones and a docking station so it's effectively the same as me charging my PS5 controller.
I do maintain however that the Xbox controller could be used as a murder weapon much easier than the PS5 one though.
Seems Mia Farrow has good taste in videogames unlike you never ace combaters (NACs from now on).
It's amazing that people don't realize user replaceable standard rechargable batteries exist. Rather than non user replaceable and bespoke ones.
Anyway, the weird nail in the coffin for me with XBox was that the Series X controller caused my hands to ache after a short period of time. No such issue with Nintendo or PS controllers. That and Starfield.
