Starting a thread for 2025 gigs as they'll likely start rolling in.
I'll arbitrarily throw in Rob Beckett playing the Olympia on the 26th September 2025 which went on sale today.
supports announced
As someone that listened to them back in the day, I could easily name around 12 songs that were big hits. Probably a short set as well, 90 minutes max, possibly less.
Getting fairly short changed compared to London support. Not sure why there's extra tickets going on sale now either
flogging the remaining production holds and whatever didn’t sell previously. Dermot Kennedy too popular here to play support to anyone so he was never in contention.
a cheeky queen medley and a few costumes changes should eat into that time too, I guess.
Mono are playing The Button Factory on 1st November. Presale on now.
This is one of my faves……

Didn't expect him to be but London getting Kennedy, 1 of the acts Dublin is getting and 7 more I'd argue higher profile acts. Think they could afford to put on a few more for price of tickets and with 180,000 going tbh
Ah yeah, possibly. They have covered/released We Will Rock You anyway.
thought what’s the point having a ton of acts playing to no one. Amount of acts on Hyde park bill seems crazy. Acts on from 1pm playing to bar staff
London is the BST festival so they always have big support acts. Last time I was there was The Strokes in 2015 - Temples, Public Service Broadcasting, Beck, Hinds, Future Islands and others as support. Heavy sponsorship from AMEX so always excellent backup in Hyde Park.
and crazy priced vip enclosures
I can believe that. A decade ago the Golden Circle was free, just a matter of first-come……, that'll obviously have changed.
The Boss is basically the only one who still does that now. And even now its only for a few cities.
Foo Fighters gig in rds few years ago was the same, pit and general were same price
Aiken only released 45-50k tickets per date initially to try and push demand for a third night.
Always better to have the choice though surely? People can choose to make a day of it if they wanted. Sure people could still just choose to show up for the main act if they wanted. That's always the case
QOTSA the same too.
Phoenix park is major through road, can’t be closing it down all day or impeding it from lunchtime for no one showing up to see a support band at 2pm. event licence is from 5pm each day which seems fair. Let people pre booze, eat lunch in town and wander in for 7 or 8 pm.
Not a gig per se but think there'll be a huge amount of interest in this https://www.gaietytheatre.ie/events/prima-facie/ on sale next Tues with just 5 nights in the Gaiety. There's no such thing as presale for there is there?
no presale
It is the single most powerful piece of theatre I've ever seen in my life, and utterly spectacular performance by Jodie Comer and I will absolutely be trying for tickets on Tuesday.
Wow, very high praise! I'm sorry I posted about this here now in case more applying!
Ha ha, you've piqued my interest I'm afraid 😋
I was lucky enough to see Cillian Murphy in Grief Is The Thing With The Feathers and it was so incredible it actually put me off going to the theatre, as I don't think anything will ever come near it. But you've sold me!
Adebisi Shank have added a second night, Saturday 23 August. Previous night is now sold out.
I'm in!!
Why do you hate London and Camden, one of the great cities of the world!!
Love the cave, and that's about it really.
If you don't get tickets, National Theatre have released it in the past also.
No doubt not as good as in the flesh but an option.
My partner caught that when it premiered at the Black Box in Galway, said it was the best theatre she'd ever seen. Nice to note that you're also making me feel bad about missing it. 😁
