Purchased a Blu-ray box set on Amazon UK last Saturday, €30 with 2 day delivery. Amazon Ireland €96. 220% increase.
Honestly i doubt they would as they more often than not don't understand the difference between NI and ROI or are aware NI is in the UK.

No. Amazon have always handled this, for items sold by Amazon or shipped by Amazon. Market place items shipped directly by the seller are not handled by Amazon, so you may have additional charges on delivery.
Lots of people complain about Amazon since Brexit, but I've never had additional charges and use it weekly. I'm going to stick with UK for now.
I did order an outdoor solar powered motion activated spot light which was on special offer on the IE website this morning. Got it for €47 with free delivery. Arriving next week. Same product on UK site would be £61.50 today, but delivery is 1 day sooner.

I was idly looking at cameras on the .ie and .co.uk sites and the selection showing on .ie was shocking. 10% of what's in the UK site. And I don't mean the "cannot be delivered to your selected location" message - I mean they just didn't show up at all on .ie.
Yeah but when I go to pay on UK location there's postage there now.
It's a bit crap really.
It's about 20 seconds less time than it takes logging into boards to ask anyone else what you could find out yourself in literally, 5 seconds. Like literally. Type amazon.ie firestick into a search engine and that's it. Try it some time.

I am very sorry we are unaware as to how we are suddenly international sellers dealing in Euros! Amazon are clearly trying to convert us to all be interanational. Unfrtunately we have no choice but to cancel this order as we are not IOSS registered.

is about €179 (converted from Sterling) on the UK website, but €134 on the Amazon.ie website. Ironically, you can't buy it on the UK website as it's battery related. Same item is €175 on Halfords.

Same here, order cancelled by a marketplace seller. I did not get any explanation, but I had suspected it was likely to end that way, because the seller is based in Italy, it was a niche product and yet was offered for next day IE delivery, so obviously they only sell in Italy and somehow their products got listed on the IE site. Actually, most if not all of such odd offers come from Italian businesses - just check the Grocery section. Maybe there is something wrong with marketplace sellers configuration on amazon.it.
I'm now wondering about all those offers that are only visible after clicking on "See All Buying Options", with the best price offer not shown on the product page, but then most of them turn out to be Free delivery e.g. https://www.amazon.ie/Baseus-External-Battery-Outputs-PPAD000101/dp/B08XQ43HZT I suspect they were not meant to be available on Amazon.ie at all.

Anyone else feel that amazon.ie is just another thing that will cost us more money overall. I put my money on them ceasing delivery from amazon UK and being forced in the end to take delivery from more expensive Irish amazon.
not sure how this is supposed to work. I have an account with amazon uk for many years, I mainly use the amazon app on my iPhone. When I go to the Amazon app and country/region, I get presented with below, there is no options for Ireland
Should we get an option for Ireland in the app. Or do we not use the app and instead use a browser and www.amazon.ie

It's never been 100% the same anyway on Prime if you access from the UK or Ireland, so I suspect you won't see much difference, if any.
It's not been a huge difference though.

So far I'd say the irish amazon will be good for items fulfilled by Amazon with regards to time of delivery, the free delivery on your first order is good and when spend over €50 so shop wisely.
In time it will get better I'm sure but UK sellers will probably stick to selling though the UK only amazon
That's as stupid as someone in the market for a new EV but immediately discounting a M3 Highland for well under 40k because of the guy at the helm. Total bollox.
