It’s just an impression I have based on not much, really. It seems a long way from the likes of ROG who would be close to a gold standard for me. I feel he could improve if he and the coaches looked at every aspect of it.
50% I think.
anyway, france as flaky as they can be…
france breakdown non existant.
to be honest, who would you have in a semi final european cup game…
it's not sam…. (yet)
Unless Leinster have a storming CC campaign and those 3 play out of their skins, none of them will be Lions this summer.
Today was the worst I've ever seen Ringrose play in green. He's had a very poor tournament which is so unlike him.
Pretty sure Sam shanked one against England in the first game too. But he improved after that and kicked quite well from the tee overall in the tournament. Excellent is a stretch to describe his place kicking though, he hit the post with a very kickable one too last weekend.
That's not to excuse Crowleys poor show from the tee today. Just want to point out some facts to those who are blind to them.
Only one point more last year in the table than this year, with England and France in far worse shape last year.
Time and other factors, one glaring one, has led some to look back far too fondly at last year.
Well even with Farrell as coach only 1 of those 3 is likely, not sure what you are getting at.
I'd be amazed at an Irish dominant Lions squad....unless Leinster cruise to a European cup. Even then I'm unsure at what point the squad is picked
Imagine the difference in selection of the lions if Gregor or and English coach was picking his squad.
Players like James Ryan, Joe McCarthy, ringrose would be luck to make the bus.
settling it… in favour of Fin Smith
Russell settling the Lions OH debate today.
Just admit you haven't a breeze what you are talking about. It's less cringe than having you contradict yourself on very, very bold statements.
What are Crowley's stats?
They will ignore that and equate a 50m penalty off the post with a shanked conversion.
What ever anyone wants to say about Prendergast, his place kicking has been excellent
That's the most disappointing aspect of this. It was win or bust. We've crumbled to third place in a tournament with only three realistic contenders AND the rebuild still hasn't started. Don't think anyone expected the France implosion and our confidence today looked shot. No wonder... playing in the abysmal Goodman system which has seen our attack regress to the last tired days of Schmidt would suck the energy out of you.
We should consider adding a refresh of the coaching staff bar Farrell to this list of changes too.
To be pedantic he is 71%. He has also attempted some pretty difficult kicks.
Yeah I have always thought that myself - seems to kick across the ball or something?
I don’t like the look of his place-kicking. Even the sound of it is off. His contact point seems wrong. Is it too high or something? He needs an in-depth golf-style analysis of every aspect of it.
I wouldn't be too harsh on this year's crop of u20's. They were missing at least 4 of their best forwards for the entire Six Nations. Our youth development has improved a lot, but we're never going to be able to make up for losing half our starting pack.
The players we were without; Usanov, Niall Smyth, Alan Spicer and Luke Murphy will all be provincial regulars for years to come too. So that's a lot of quality out of the side before the tournament ever began.
More wins than any other side at that level over 4 years, including this year, yet somehow not being brilliant at u20 every single year means we are entering a period in the doldrums according to some.
We had a poor year yet won 4 of 5 and have the most consistent conveyor of talent in recent years.
I didn't expect the performances to collapse as they have. Look at what England did to Wales today and contrast. We had posters here saying how difficult the game was and Wales were up for it and the roof was closed...blah blah.
We have been hopeless the last 3 games and today was another low.
U20s got the wooden spoon this year though unfortunately.
You thought we'd beat Wales by 50 points and we shouldn't respect them as a team....little bit of a reality check for you maybe?
100 per cent incorrect on your guess…. I was playing rugby when rucking was a thing, google it with ur stats. Dope
Reality is a bit inconvenient to your edge lord persona
Is the award SP got for rookies only? Like there's no way on earth he should get it over Bielle-Biarrey if it's a young player award.
I blame Ohk Energy and Vodafone ("Together!")
Aye, keep up the delusion if you like.
Neither of them are good goal kickers. SP is under 70% for Ireland.
