Starting a thread for 2025 gigs as they'll likely start rolling in.
I'll arbitrarily throw in Rob Beckett playing the Olympia on the 26th September 2025 which went on sale today.
Anyone have a Matt Berninger access code? Cheers
Got it from presale thread if anyone else is looking ?did=fanpre after link doesn't need a code
This does make sense, but not sure it's a great strategy long term. The price of tickets has effectively ruled me out of going to a lot of gigs. Seeing Kasabian (who just recently had lost their lead singer) seemed a nearly stretch at 55 eur a ticket there locally in 2023, great gig and all glad I went, but factoring in going to something similar like that in Dublin at 70 euro a ticket as mentioned, bus/train up and down, drinks/food, possibly a hotel, etc, it just all works out very very expensive. Even 70/80 euro seems on the lower side for medium size gig prices now, most seem closed to 100+. Maybe if circumstances change I might be able to justify going to more but going to a decent gig medium/large once every month or two around the country affordably, just seems almost impossible now. I know cost of living, increased production costs, etc. but in reality a fair amount of it just comes down to price gouging by a select number of promotors (mind, there are still some excellent ones out there too in particular brining great smaller and medium size acts to Ireland at decent prices too).
it also includes the streets as support. you must remember that live nation cares about revenue not profit. a lower capacity 3 arena show can easily be profitable for live nation if guarantee fees are correct, they own the building so no rental costs. They see all bar profits and % of merch. It made thousands on ticketmaster fees as well. It can all add up to a profit and more importantly for livenation revenue figures they might have added an extra €300-400k
If someone tells you that Counting Crows have sold out 3Arena, they are lying to you.
Yeah it's an odd one like you'd think just to save face/embarrassment they'd drop the ticket prices like there's clearly a correlation with some acts the price and attendance,
Great way of annoying your core fanbase who bought up tickets at full price when they came on sale. Maybe the next time some of them will wait for a price drop…
If they're your thing, go for it. No chance of it selling out the 3Arena though.
yeah a artist/promoter will almost never do price reductions after it’s goes on sale. Mcd had student ticket offers for kendrick Lamar’s last 3 arena shows which you didn’t have to show proof for. Duran Duran had a ticket offer going for last 3 arena show as well. Promoters will privately paper the shows to get the numbers up. Radio stations given dozens for prizes. Pr companies dropped in envelopes of tickets to distribute etc
Having no luck getting into the Matt Berninger presale today. Anyone get a ticket?
Got sorted with the URL that was posted in the presale thread. Worked fine.
If you're on a mobile and have the new Ticketmaster App it might be the issue.
Sorry, I meant will the standing area sell out? I presume it will. It looks small - how many does that look like it would hold?
about 1500 or so when seats are hitting the floor set up
There's probably a decent chance of that section selling out to be fair. It's one of those that could go either way.
I see Dermot Kennedy is supporting Zach Bryan for his London gigs along with 8 other acts. Presume Kennedy too big to support him here? Might get some of the smaller acts
yeah no chance of dermot supporting any act in this country these days.
ORANGES was the presale code I got in a Spotify email if the link isn't working
Thank you, got them, i had the wrong link
Certain city hospitals for example , get envelopes of tickets for executive officers , many of whom have no interest in music or even disseminating the tickets in time .I have been whatsapped about free tickets on the day of a gig! It's so dispiriting that these tickets, are left lying in an envelope in some exec's office unless it is some big name act . Meanwhile real fans paying a premium .
God, that's very sad. Which city is this? - Dublin? And why are executive officers so priveleged?! Are they supposed to distribute to the minions on the ground?
theconcertcelebrity is being banned off instagram according to their story
Apparently it’s due to a photographer claiming plagiarism but it’s strange all this comes right after the Ticketmaster post about fraudulent resellers
Good riddance to them. Their story sounds like rubbish so wouldn't be surprised if there's a lot more to it tbh
Don't they have posts up denying they are the scammer and revealing who it was?Anyway good riddance!!!
Yeah I wouldn't believe a word out of their mouth either way. They've been spouting continuous lies and running phony competitions since inception. Good riddance.
It is well known my distain for the concertcelebrity but no way would I be sharing a photo of myself if I was the scammer Ticketmaster are on about and the reveal of who the scammer is,is 100% correct. It would be seriously warped! They are also on about revealing who they are so time will tell if they will?
The reality is they could put up a picture of anyone and nobody would know any better.
Yep I agree and no way will they reveal who they are!
it could be the Facebook girl AND the concert celeb - way too much of a coincidence that the concert celebs account is being shut down at the same time as all of this imo
sharing that photo of the supposed scammer is easiest way to ensure that no garda prosecution will happen
They have another page that is the only page they follow on their concertcelebrity page and looks like they are using that now. 😡😡😡
