Starting a thread for 2025 gigs as they'll likely start rolling in.
I'll arbitrarily throw in Rob Beckett playing the Olympia on the 26th September 2025 which went on sale today.
it was apparently through Facebook.
Yeah, edited that thanks . Elbow , similar energy ;)
I wasn't tuned in there .. slaps face !
Back in 2018 I think. Got 2 free tickets from Three at the time. Enjoyed the show as well.
What good is ticket verification at venues to catch scammers? If a ticket is fake surely it would be caught anyway?
It's better when it's curtained off , less echoey.
We have standing for Morrissey and if as Fanirish says they have opened up some of the upper sections I hope it fills . Otherwise it's neither one thing or the other .
Looks like there's a Fan, Artist and Spotify presale for Matt Berninger. Anyone know anything about accessing them? Not clear from his site or Spotify. There's also a Cherry Tree presale at the moment.
The Gardai.
Fraud is a crime and should be punished. People are being ripped off left right and centre on a daily basis on social media, nothing seems to be done.
not necessarily, some scanners at venues only validate that ticket/code not that it’s only been used once.
Anyone have link for John Grant presale
Very harsh on Elbow
Don't think so. They were pleasant and relaxing . Just not my taste . Maybe mixing them up with Mumford & Sons is a bit harsh ;) mea culpa
verging on war crime that
It seems so alright 🙃
I would add Gabrielle in the 3 arena at the end of this month, looks like it's only half the arena and still nowhere near sold out
One that comes to mind last year was the black keys, I was looking forward to the gig and rocked up and I'm being generous it must have been a quarter full like, standing area was tarpaulin at the back and the seated area was the first block so that upper tier was closed off and even what was available for the seating wasn't full either,
They did themselves no favours for that gig anyway as well announced on short notice, ticket prices weren't cheap a mess,
Problem these days are ticket prices for even average or below average acts are a fortune so you're just pricing people out of it anyway, ticketmaster only inflated the prices they never deflate them even if they are selling poorly
in fairness the black keys cancelled their whole America tour cause no one bought any tickets. They stupidly still thought they were an arena level band. They aren’t anymore
Checked previous emails there from Spotify. It's a link and a generic code. I assume following the artist is enough to get it but not sure. Subject is always "a special thank you from x"
Fan is probably just vanilla mailing list rather than the fanclub?
Have a look at the sales for the Doobie Brothers in Manchester 🤣

Far too many shows like this being scheduled, far too big venues with ridiculously overpriced tickets.
Kasabian 3Arena last November a textbook example of this, anyone could tell the minute the tickets went on sale at €70-80 a pop that they weren’t selling it out even off the back of a new album, closed off or not. Waited until the day of and €20 tickets were flying around TM resale an hour beforehand. Suits me.
Exactly, and I'd actually like to see them in 3Arena, but at €100 there's no chance I'm going, if it was €60 I'd go. Not as if it would be a big production for the likes of them anyway, fair enough if it's a Muse or the likes with a massive production l.
Until the masses start rejecting these prices there will be no change
I suppose putting on the promoters hat for this one for a second...that gig was never going to be a sellout because of it being a Monday and them playing EP a few months before.
The logic being well, I'll charge higher and the people who want to go will pay, and, the people who don't go may not have gone anyway.
So we'll sell 4,000 tickets at €70 = €280k
Rather than selling 5,500 tickets at €50 = €270k, which may also mean having to open additional seats, which brings additional costs like security etc.
God, I'm morphing into FanIrish.
That's mad..
Reminds me of the clips for 30 seconds to Mars when they played the O2 in London last year to what was effectively an empty arena...
Yeah it's an odd one like you'd think just to save face/embarrassment they'd drop the ticket prices like there's clearly a correlation with some acts the price and attendance,
I remember alright three were giving away tickets to gigs there a good few years ago like Taylor Swift, Buble in Croker, counting Crows, I think Bon Jovi RDS, Robert Plant etc, looks like that's been done away with and they're just committing to half empty gigs, like even if you got the ticket for free they'd still make money on you getting food, drink, perhaps merch etc.
Got a freebie to Arcade Fire for their second night in the Point a couple of years ago thanks to a boardsie posting the link up here.
They also reduced prices for Ennio Morricone in the 3Arena in 2019.
I got a ticket for effectively a third of the full cost.
Matt Berninger (The National) playing Vicar St on Sat 23rd of August, presale starting this morning.
Still tickets available for Raging Speedhorn tonight in The Grand Social. What would your mother say? 😂😂😂
I think the funniest thing about that event is that VIP seats are being sold that are 17 rows back from the rest of the remaining available seats and are evidently the worst seats.
That is a mad undersell.
James Arthur in the 3 Arena early next year just announced for anyone interested
Was forced to go see him last year, hoping to be allowed dodge it next year
Be firm buddy. Life is tough enough as it is.
So Counting Crows may be worth a punt?
This coming from someone who has listened to "August.." approx 1000 times but only saw them once in a bit of a haze at Oxegen 2008 I think it was. How big is that standing area? Reckon that will sell out tomorrow?
