gotcha, which is kinda on to my 2fa view, it’s a fail safe in case you lose phone or key card
Used the PIN for about first 6 months. Never used it in 3.5yrs since.
As my wife also has the app, figure if anyone steals the car with one of our phones, we can simply track it on the other phone.
Do use the PIN on the glovebox however for a bit of security as more likely to the have the car broken into.
I still use PIN to drive. Relay attacks are relatively easy and cheap to carry out so PIN to drive is really the only protection if your car is parked in your driveway. The SIM can be easily disabled/removed and then it's untraceable.
Christ almighty this is quick.
Looking forward to the review. Maybe get an older one and do a side by side!
Yes.
Stupid question time, can you use voice commands to indicate on the M3 highland?
not that I’m aware of but it’s something I actually posted before. That it’s where I can see some commands going in all cars going in the future.
I tried this yesterday and it doesn’t work. What would be great is automatic indicators if you have a destination set in the sat nav.
Heres a link to the "Unofficial Tesla Voice Commands List App"
Select "Show Fullscreen" to display in a browser.
Adaptive headlights is crap and just doesn’t work.
And as it stands I don’t like the button press to enable/disable full lights. Having to glance to press the right button. But I am sure I will get used to it.
Any help on the M3 standard coming up as a long range for insurance quote purposes???
looking for a late 2021 or 2022 model 3 rwd standard, preferably white with less than 90k kms.
cash buyer for the right car at the right price.
I have posted on the for sale/wanted thread as well.
What's your offer for a perfectly maintained 222 with 75k kms? White.
sent you a message cheers
I’ve a 231 reg blue , immaculate condition 49,000km if the price is right
I'd imagine it's just well looked after??.
Tyres, tracking and balancing, inspected every 25k kms for bushing and bearings(some of which, needed replacing instead of driving around on worn bushings) Just because some people on the internet said these cars don't require maintenance, doesn't mean they dont.
Took delivery of my new M3 on the 10/2/25 , haven't been driving it and it's been parked in my secure garage ever since (have been driving my old car which I recently sold), anyway today in preparation to actually use the car I noticed a small 1 euro coin sized dent on the wing which would personally drive me nuts,I assume a paintless repair guy would sort it in a few minutes, only 70 KMS on the car as I haven't been driving it, my question is would Tesla do anything for me ???
Well you do when you're trying to move it on- it's called selling?
it depends. You have a limited timeframe and mileage to notify them. Absolutely no harm logging it in the app.
Is that on the request service section of app???
Yes. Tell them it’s a delivery issue.
Yeah, it still looks great for me, especially in white
I think the chrome finishes let down the white, much nicer taking them off and replacing with matt black aftermarket
Forgive the newbie Q, but how would the LR range compare with the e-tron?
https://www.irishtimes.com/motors/2025/03/09/audis-rather-lovely-new-electric-a6-has-serious-range-and-lightning-fast-charging/
The A6 will be a good class above the Tesla in fairness. And that’s reflected in the €75k staring price for the base 83 kWh battery. It boasts 800v charging but still only charges at 270kw compared to the 250kw in the M3.
Range should be similar as the bigger battery in the Audi will be offset by better efficiency in the Tesla.
In reality, 2 very different cars IMO.
The Audi is an extra €25K and a bigger car so not really a straight forward comparison but if comparing just range you'd expect them to deliver about the same in real world driving.
anyone got there tyres replaced from tesla and how much time did they take to order new tyres? they're replacing all 4 for me. but i have uneasy ride on the current tyres until i get the new ones. car's only month old… so bit nervous on the unbalanced tyres that can create unnecessary pressure on suspension parts.
never go to a main dealer for tyres. Go local or buy online and fit local.
