It'd be one thing if Burke and the wider family were genuinely principled, if even totally wrong-headed and intolerant in how they practice their beliefs - but what really sticks in my craw, on top of everything else, is that they clearly lie about events and willingly misrepresent things to suit themselves all the time.
There's genuine intention to the way they persistently do it - which means IMO they don't even deserve the modicum of respect you'd give to the genuinely principled - because I don't believe that deep down they truly are.
The way he starts every post with "BREAKING…" cracks me up.

I don't know how "successful" they were as christians in spreading "the good news" before they hit pot gold with the Wilson Hospital School row between Enoch and the school board but they have milked it for every cent they can get. I use the word cent as it's the base unit of both the Euro and the US dollar.
A main plank in the row used by the Burkes is that the school is Christian in ethos but NOT of their particular brand. It's a pity for the school that Enoch was ever employed there. I doubt if he'd have engineered the continuing row if he'd been in an educational facility not as linked to the Christian faith in the way WHS is.

The last of them appears out from behind the parapet ma’s skirts. Long suffering NUIG (or whatever it’s called this week) has another opportunity to elect one of the nut-job brood as President of the SU. His campaign is based around pronouns. And reusable coffee cups. He also talks about “slipping things in” though it’s not clear how much experience he personally has in this regard. Hopefully all 29 of his twitter followers turn up to vote for him. Though looking at the list I’d be surprised if any of them are even based in the country, much less being of age and or intellectual capacity to be students in a university.
All joking aside, what a shame to see another young talented life going to waste if he follows his notorious older siblings.

I'm not sure if the "undertake" was a typo or if the word has a dual meaning. I think that EB has taken in so much of the family home teaching that he has been indoctrinated or is a Stockholm Syndrome victim as it were, from the teaching. His mother standing up in the high court to tell off the judge there about who's law he should be following when hearing the case against EB exemplifies the indoctrination he got from the family home teaching regime.
Anyway, it seems to me that he believes her line of who's law it is that the judges and courts should be obeying.
None of that is of any relevance to his capacity.

I do understand it. The thing is that capacity has more than one meaning. So, you and I may have to continue to differ on the way EB and Co treat the law here.

According to a Joe.ie report, through a F/B post, Elon Musk has appeared to support EB after he became aware of the EB versus the courts matter, allegedly giving a "wow" on hearing about it. The Joe.ie report also mentions a claim that EB will be stripped of his salary after he refused to comply with a request from the school and that EB has spent 500 days in prison and the Irish Courts are now punishing him further.
According to the Joe.ie post, Judge Nolan increased the daily fine on EB to €1400 on hearing that EB had entered the school building through a student entrance and tried to join a school assembly. It was reported by the schools' board of management barrister, Rosemary Mallon, that Mr Burke managed to get inside the school through what she described as a "crossroads" between toilets and lockers that pupils have to pass. Mr Burke is alleged to have told the school principal, John Galligan, that he was "reporting for work".

It's the first I had heard or seen of Joe.ie. On first sight, I thought it was from RTE's Joe. The 2nd Para seemed more reliable and interesting as it reportedly covered testimony evidence given at the last Judge Nolan sitting of the high court about EB and what the judge reportedly decided on in respect to actual action against EB where actual trespass inside the school building proper by EB was concerned, not just a two-step dance in or around the gateway entrance to the school grounds.
She was trying to state, as a fact, that Burke was jailed for refusing to use the preferred pronouns of a student in his school.
Claire Byrne rightly shut her down as this is factually incorrect.

Yep, it's been wiped like it never happened, along with any reference to Enoch Burke.
It might be an interesting modus operandi by some of the media along the lines of depriving them of oxygen so that you potentially weaken their hand.
An interesting analogy can be drawn with Trump; his catch-phrase of the moment is that one-or-another 'holds all the cards' in terms of negotiation. Trump himself through, by placing himself into the daily news cycles with bombasic claims, is ensuring that his message can be communicated outwards by the mass-media, therefore he effectively "holds the cards" in terms of how a US and world-wide audience perceive his actions.
By not even giving the Burkes the mere mention you dilute their worth and move the conversation along while the judiciary slowly figure out their arse from their elbows and deal with the matters at hand.
