Starting a thread for 2025 gigs as they'll likely start rolling in.
I'll arbitrarily throw in Rob Beckett playing the Olympia on the 26th September 2025 which went on sale today.
Ah I know. I genuinely can't understand how people are still so naive to it. I get being desperate and all but some people really don't stop and think.
Anyone know what time the descendants will be on stage tomorrow? Doors have moved earlier to 6.30. I assume they will be on at 8?
Academy usually posts times on the day in their social, usually twitter/x or a Facebook story.
Is this a double bill with Circle Jerks? I also see there is a support band too. So the earlier opening time could be to accommodate the support band.
A logical time table would be:
Support at 7
Circle Jerks at 7:45-8
Descendents at 9-9:15
(Assuming Descendents are the headliners)
No chance. Circle Jerks and Negative Approach supporting will each have at least 30 minutes.
Are the gigs at botanic gardens selling badly? Two gigs moved to indoor venues
I can't believe an adult would use the word 'rando' but here we are!
And she wasn't some 'rando' as you say but I'm not clogging up this thread anymore and am sure it will all come out eventually.
The waterfront hall is a downgrade whilst SSE is an upgrade. think the botantic gardens series is not happening this year
Thanks all! I had forgotten about the double headliner thing.
I think the poster is referring to approximate start times rather than set lengths of 15 mins. Or at least I hope so. 😁
Pffft, a good punk band would still get 12 songs in.
The Circle Jerks 1st album is 15 mins long
No cap? That's sigma.
Michael Shannon performing REM classics upgraded to vicar st
Michael Shannon & Jason Narducy moved to Vicar Street August 27th, anyone have any idea how to request a wheelchair accessible tickets when the venue changes? I wouldn't be a fan of the view in Vicar St for wheelchairs anyway it's woeful and can you request a refund if the venue changes?
they don’t sell/issue accessible tickets for vicar st. They facilitate it when people attend. you could raise a refund request on TM. They may or may not approve it
I like Cast but this seems ambitious, didn't sell out Academy last year
Well Descendants were epic last night. Played everything I wanted to hear. Milos vocals were amazing for a guy who is sixty. Karl still the best punk bass player. What a show.
anniversary show of the one album of theirs that’s popular might bump it up a bit. also could see upper circle being closed off
They do issue accessibility tickets for wheelchairs in Vicar St, attended plenty of gigs in there, only issue is your put in essentially a pen away from family, so I'd nearly ask for a refund because it's a shocking experience alright, doesn't beat the cherry picker in the Olympia though,
Only decent one outside of the 3Arena, is the green room in the academy your brought up to the front and amongst everyone else, cheers for the info I'll follow it up
DIIV playing vicar st on Monday September 1st
Architects tour announcement and no shock with lack of Dublin show 😭😭😭
are the worth a 3 arena here?
Nova Twins at Button Factory on 14th October
checked a bunch of upcoming shows and they had accessibility tickets greyed out as not an option. yeah pen front left or front right is set up in vicar. No elevate landing like button factory so view is poor and very close to stage
Olympia level here without a shadow I gather and could likely squeeze a Belfast date also.
Certain they were support Biffy on their last album tour here at 3.O2 n OdySSEy & neither date sold out. Granted Biffy do well to push for both arenas in fairness.
They are touring arenas now though in uk and Europe. Not going to bring an arena tour to the Olympia
Can book away alright, yeah I'll have to ask for a refund i'd say, unfortunate as I was up for it in the button factory
ah they only show if logged in
I see that now, ambitious as it is particularly with those supports absolutely no hope in the 3 for that.
Show starting at 6:45pm with Limp Bizkit coming on about 9:30pm due to the amount of support acts.
LB played 1 hour 20 mins in Glasgow and the reviews were very good.
Looking forward to it.
