I’ve heard there going the apartment route which I believe is now the 3rd pub to close and go that route?
That Clonmel Concerned Residents FB thread is toxic, blaming everything on IPA people - I wouldn’t believe a word of it. It should be closed down for spreading undocumented nonsense.
But technically if it's written on a website, it's documented.
I agree 100%. The racism shown on it is disgusting. All under the veil of "concern". Anyone who starts a sentence with "I'm not being racist, but…", is most definitely one.
It really shows a level of ignorance and lack of education that's frightening.
Total cesspit. An echo chamber for racism.
Not fact checked though..I pointed out so many lies they posted that they blocked me..Whoever is admin of that facebook page should be ashamed of what they post.Their X page is the same.
That's unfortunate we can't have civilised conversations with each other, *ism or not.
A woman from Dublin who lives on the Fethard Rd is admin. I'm also blocked :P
No it doesn’t, documented means legal, proven - not someone ranting lies about IPAs or anyone else they disapprove of.
From my (very) brief glance it seems like there's a franchise of "Concerned insert your town here Residents" Facepalm pages sharing the same warped and depressing world view.
Oh you're talking about some weird legal definition, i suppose i should've got that from the context really.
Richie got a few slaps and is looking for pity..
‘They kept punching and kicking me’ – Tipperary publican reveals assault ordeal as ‘amazing regulars’ come to his rescue | Irish Independent
I say your some man to fight yourself, judging by comments alone the weather would knock you out by the sounds of it.
Town is getting worse, this story was published and it's getting worse the gardai are getting lazy so it's about time people looked out for each other.
Hon Richie, can give it but can't take it. this is about you Richie not me.
The moral of the story here is that Richie spend his life respecting the guards and when he needed their help he didn't get it. Plus his reaction to the two men by ringing the guards is what set the assault off. So he tried to be the big hero, lick ass, thinking the guards would give a **** about two drunks and he ended up worse off.
Sure a strong horse of a man like himself should have been well able for them. But he wasn't, he was on the floor roaring.
This is going on in that kip of a town for decades, it's not a new thing. Higgins got a few slaps in his premises in the mid 90's too.
Are you two supporting two people beating up one person?
Your blaming Richie for this! Simply unbelievable victim blaming.
The fault lies 100% with the two individuals who carried out the assault. No one else just those two. Anyone calling the Guards shouldn't be a reason to get assaulted and how is calling the Guards been a big hero?
Not supporting any violence. Just find it funny the carry on from Richie over it. In a town that is as violent as Clonmel, it's surprising to see him or anyone else make a big deal out of it.
Not victim blaming but stating fact. Ringing the guards in front of a disruptive person or persons only escalates a problem.
What a load of nonsense. When are you supposed to phone the guards, when the robbers/rapists/thugs have left? Ritchie is right to highlight the lack of Garda support for local businesses and public safety. I hope he gets well soon, he has a very good business and works hard to maintain it and no, I don’t personally know him. You are just a troll
Were you present when it happened?
There's a video of it going around now lol

Yet the exact same thing has happened in Friar Street in Thurles and Castle Street Roscrea with former pubs.
There's an industrial migration complex in Ireland. Economic migrants who <2019 would have been detained and/or deported immediately upon entry are now housed and paid social welfare by the state from a welfare system they've never contributed to. Its embezzlement of our taxes on a grand scale to their cronies.
This week there was a man convicted of rape within 10 days of entry to Ireland. He was previously convicted of rape in the United Kingdom back in 2001. Do you think he should be housed in Clonmel upon release?
calling mostly working class people racist for not wanting these people playing the system and committing sex crimes in their communities is completely ignorant. Its the working class communities they get shoved into, its the working class community they commit crime against. Its the working class areas they take /deal drugs and terrorise. Its the working class areas they use scarce public services like GP, hospital beds, school places etc.
The Ukrainians I deeply sympathise with.
My fiancee lives in Clonmel in the town centre and she has had Roma going through her wheelie bins looking for plastic bottles last month and threatening her with a bar when confronted.
An african finding her snapchat on snap map and turning up at her place of work asking for her. Harassment from more African men on the streets, mostly on O'Connell Street. This is just within the past 8-10 weeks.
She told me that it used to be the Indian and Asian communities, but they'd be socially awkard and wouldn't go as far and actually stalk a woman in broad daylight and have the audacity to actually turn up to her workplace. Despite making it abundantly clear she has a fiance, a child and isn't interested, other than her Snapchat streak scores.
Can we lose this racist claptrap from what is a relatively hate free forum, please?
I’m not sure why you quoted my post before your rant of unsubstantiated stuff but IPA are not the only problem we have in Clonmel. Most of the druggies are home grown as are most of the other problems Clonmel has. If there were groups of black IPA people roaming the streets, I would know about it. If your girlfriend has been harassed, she needs to attend the Garda station and report it - harassment by anyone is unacceptable.
Looks like because you were talking about everyone on a facebook group being racist for saying things like he (or she) said in the post.
Passed the Clonmel arms today and there was actually some work being done and planning permission has been granted for the ormonde centre, hopefully some positive developments out of them.
The Poppyfield retail park, (as well as other shopping centres in the same group in Dublin and Louth) is up for sale.
If there was a lot of money in retail parks, why would they be selling them?
heard that a Centra going into the Ormonde Centre
Was there a bit of bother on the by pass last night?Heard lots of sirens during the night.
There was a fire at the halting site beside Hotshots in the early hours of Tuesday morning. And apparently another one a few hours later
Any recommendations for fixing Air conditioning in a car?
