A thread for chatting about Temu bargains.
This thread is starting to now read like a Quentin Tarantino script.
I was wondering what the **** "**** (Ireland)" was.
Looks like the name of that company is now included in the swear filter in an attempt to stop the massive amount of spam being received.
Looks like **** are not celebrating Singles Awareness Day
Not sure a title on Boards contributes to spam.
Temu test
Have you seen the amount of Temu spam that's been hitting Boards over the last few weeks. I think Mike was trying out options to prevent or contain it but we are back to normal again in this thread.
Bought a few of these earphones they are unexpectedly good quality for €1.30
and a snake drain for 87c - how much would that cost here if you don't have a wire hanger?
Yeah it's the other twenty three quid you have to spend to get them.
You can always add something for €23 and cancel it
Does that work?
It does.
Just make sure to have the refund made back to your card and not TEMU credit.
Have they not got rid of the min order? Last few I've made have had no min order
Says €25 min order at checkout. No idea how you got that.
Strange last 3 orders were all for less than a fived
Lost my earbud case/charger on the bus yesterday, not holding out much hope to getting it back. I was looking on Temu and they seem to have replacement cases with some of the photos showing charging ports: https://www.temu.com/ie/--life-p2-mini-silicone-carrying-case-portable-shock-resistant-cover-with-carabiner-scratch-proof-protective-case-in-multiple-colors-g-601099984608688.html Has anyone got one of these previously and do they work as a charger or are they merely a case?
That's just a silicone sleeve for your own case.
Will we see similar here? Or elsewhere in EU?
Since last year Temu (UK) has been inviting UK merchants to join the platform “to widen the range of local products and reduce delivery time”. The UK’s “local sellers” are already shifting brands including Tetley teabags, Candy Kittens sweets, Fanta and Fairy Liquid. Thus far it’s primarily resellers and wholesalers offering branded products, with better-known brands yet to sell direct. Temu’s margins are “significantly more favourable” and the cost of selling on the platform lower than rivals.. Temu says it expects 50% of UK sales to come from local sellers and warehouses by end 2025
They need to scrap the minimum spend it's a deal breaker.
Pen them a note! to First Floor, 25 St Stephens Green, Dublin 2, Ireland
Saw one or two products marked "local" this morning while searching for something, but was not interested in those particular ones, so have no more details.
However, free "local" shipping is a joke. Here's what temu's T&Cs say:
Sellers that ship from local warehouses offer free shipping when certain thresholds are met. Free shipping is usually available for orders over €41.44 from a single seller but may change from seller to seller.
The article made no mention of postage - well spotted.
It might be handy for B&Bs/hospitality etc.
Amazon.ie has launched today.
and apparently (surprise surprise) things are more expensive than Co.Uk
think ill stay with Uk prime for the moment
wrong site
What chat is this ?
The price adjustment feature really is great. I just paid €10 on a €25 order just by doing price adjustments on my last three orders.
where do you access that?
Click into any order and there's a list of options on the right hand side which includes "price adjustment" . The option remains for 30 days.
