Most likely confirmation that he's moving on. It's very unfortunate for him but the ACL injury appears to have completely killed his confidence and left him reading the game poorly. We've had occasional glimpses of him but we mostly see his downsides and teams know how to target them. I wouldn't have selected him on form at any point.
Who knows what this Benetton team will be like. Most of the same starting XV beat an awful Ulster 34 - 19 at home two weeks ago, but lost 43 - 0 away to the Ospreys in the previous round.
It might be blurry vision from imbibing too much from the top shelf. Most of their "best" content comes in the late hours.
Interesting game tonight. Billy Burns for Munster. But I do wonder what the implications will be at the end of the season
Yee don't want him he's literally making up the numbers down here
Munster and Edinburgh sharing 7 points is an unfortunate result for us.
Jennings should join Munster!! It's the only way to ensure Connacht will want to play him.
Concerned about our 2nd row selection.
Big game, but then I suppose that all are now.
Jennings was out with an ankle injury until just before the Glasgow game and probably hasn't trained much. He was getting great minutes just before the injury.
Thanks 👍. Sporadic minutes I would say.
He's had five starts including four full games, and one appearance from the bench. He's mostly been displaced by Hansen, Bolton, and our attempts to play Cordero back to form. That's a pretty good good return when you've had an injury and are up against that kind of talent.
Two very poor results for us already this weekend. We really need to maximise our points haul later.
Nice of RTE to have Alex Cuthbert doing punditry for the Cardiff game......but would make you wonder why we do rarely get Connacht representation when we're on RTE
Bernard Jackman is an RTE regular and fairly sure Gavin Duffy has been on once or twice.
Would have preferred Devine to do the conjoining for the game tonight
Out of interest is Snyman looking to be the next IQ player for Ireland
Yes, but any allegiance Jackman had to Connacht seems to have disappeared long ago
Not unless he misunderstands Regulation 8 and no longer wants to play for the Springboks - both of which seem unlikely.
Big opportunity for Connacht now to get into.top 8
WTF are Benetton wearing?
Oops
Bolton saves Heffernan’s blushes.
17 unanswered points for Benetton.
Classic Connacht shooting themselves in the foot there. Treacy tries a little grubber kick inside the Connacht 22. It’s blocked and Benetton pick up the loose ball to score a try.
24 unanswered points.
Blade usually finishes those chances. Winger caught him from behind this time.
Ref seems inconsistent, maybe looks different on TV. Two scrum penalties where he seemed to penalise Connacht for being twisted and then twisting, penalised for competing in the air, and then nothing for being hit in the air.
JJ nails a very difficult conversation from the sideline and it’s not counted as he ran out of time. Hope those 2 points don’t become important later on.
Did the ref alert him at 10 seconds to go?
Connacht have left it late, but that try should give them a bit of breathing room to hopefully see out the victory. 38-30 with 6 minutes left.
Entertaining game. Good win. Lots of errors as usual but dug it out.
Very enjoyable match,well done Connacht.
