Anyone else find this a bit of a coincidence that the publicising of this incident happens the same week he'll be sentenced? One could think it could influence leniency in the sentencing? I know I'm being a bit of a conspiracy theorist posting this but it just sounds slightly...."convenient "...!
I'm wondering what kind of plants they'll have him cultivating in the prison polytunnels. 😛
Sorry for bringing up an old post.
In the past while I've noticed all Tesco have got strict.
You've to exit through the tills.
It's not just a Tralee ting.
Piquin Chilli otherwise known as mexican chilli🫣
Don't think PP is required if it's not a habitual dwelling.
I seen people using the self scan at Dunnes Horan Centre with full trollies. Totally holds up everyone and I never seen staff do anything about it.
Ladbrokes were refused PP for it a few years ago. Might end up as a cafe. Just what Tralee really needs, another coffee place! 😯

Lololol that made me laugh, I should have phrased it better 🤣
Reading in Kerrys Eye that last month's storm made the building structurally unsafe so had to be demolished.
Guys I need to buy a decent suit. Where can I get one?
have heard good things about Suit Select, opposite Aldi. Or Ryles does lovely stuff.
Thanks .for a job interview and probably won't get worn again. I'll take a look at the weekend.
you could also try Celsius if its not something too expensive you want?
Looks like Nathan will be there in person in special criminal court today for his sentencing...he must be dreading the outcome following his recent experience in jail.
He got 12. How long will he actually do I wonder?
Sad that the Irish Examiner doesn't have editors. Maybe our lad was a prominent businessman once. Not anymore.
First line: "Prominent businessman Nathan O'Donnell…." Should've been 'one-time' or 'former' imo.

12 years. Plus 6 for facilitating organized crime. Seems kind of light, likely to be served consecutively.
Also per the recent articles about him talking to the Gardai before he confessed, he lied left and right. That should be chargeable, too.
Were the people of Tralee surprised by Nathan?
He seems to have gotten some beating in there.
Life for the next few years certainly won't be a bed of roses.… (Forgive me the double pun)
"McDonnell was assaulted in Portlaoise Prison earlier this week and has undergone surgery where screws, wires and two plates have been inserted into his jaw"

12 less 25pc remission and a year already done is 8 years to go. 2033 release date. WTF is Leen going to get with his record on top of it!! I thought Nathan would get 10 reduced to 6 on mitigation (early guilty plea, no record). But this is twice it. I was thinking 20 for Leen with no mitigation. Might upgrade that to 25. The Judges threw the book at Nathan. I think his nonsense claim of not knowing it was drugs involved infuriated them, taking them and everyone else for fools.
Irish Independent article says the business is to be sold off to pay debts.
If all went to plan...it probably would be a continuous partnership between Nathan and sinola/leen as a cash crop.
The Judges started at 21 years and gave him 9 years mitigation! 😲
It appears the sheer scale of the shipment was a big factor in sentencing.
I imagine the mitigation was that he told the cops everything he knew. As this week showed, he's not safe in prison. It's going to be a tough few years watching his back.
Unlikely to get remission for the charges involved according to someone I know whose family are Gardai
Leen is pleading not guilty, so that will be going to trial, no idea when that will be though?
New signage for "Asia Supermarket " and bubble tea cafe opening where Eurogiant was in The Square and "The Market" cafe/deli by Terra also getting ready to open in Yummys further up as I was passing by tonight. 2 less empty units in the area!
Has anyone heard what happened with the accident at blennerville?
I don't think this should be discussed on a forum. There is plenty information on radio kerry website.
Just going back a bit, as I'm not on boards too much - but that derelict house in Ballymullen, I believe that was the (British) officers house way way back - I'm mid 40's and never remember the house being used. It's been derelict for a long time.
