Would anyone have an idea time wise of when you hear from Garda Siochana when you put in your application, and it’s after the closing date.. to know if you have been accepted to stage 1. Or how do they contact you to let you know?

No not necessarily. Extended family maybe, but Mother being direct family… Cant see why that would cause a hold up
I Have loads of family from outside Ireland that I had to put down on the form B it didn't slow down my vetting . All the police in Europe and England have access to the same criminal data base so wouldn't make any difference.

it’s not necessarily your family’s size. I know a few people who come from small families and had only a few people listed on their form B and they are waiting for their vetting to complete since the beginning of 2023.
Is the next intake after March, June?

has anyone who got a conditional offer previous who declined it for whatever reason and asked to be in the next intake, did they get into the next intake or still waiting? Has anyone had experience of this

I have heard some got in and also some who have been left waiting 2 or 3 after that so it seems to change , I would say accept unless it’s quite strong circumstances to not

sorry yeah I’ve heard some stories that they rejected it and got in then 2-3 in takes later. Also heard some are still waiting since rejecting and haven’t heard anything since just that vetting is on going. I imagine once you accept the conditional offer they’ll speed up vetting for you as you’ll be in the college.

Received a call in August for availability for December, they made it clear it was not an offer. Have recieved nothing since then, vetting is still ongoing. Batch 2

I thought that conditional offers were only done for the December intake.
Same here, PCT last week in June, medical the next week.
No, mine was a conditional offer for March. They only offer you one conditional offer though. So if someone got a conditional offer in December they're not going to get one for March. They'll only get an offer once vetting is fully cleared.

Yes but I thought the conditional offers only started from December meaning that they weren’t offering conditional offers for the intakes before December. TheFlyingWingBack’s comment suggests otherwise when he says he heard that some people refused the conditional offer and got in 2-3 intakes later. Curious to know when the conditional offers started.
sorry for the confusion I meant a general offer in previous intakes not the conditional ones where people got in 2-3 later. But as the people above have stated if you reject a conditional you won’t get another until vetting is fully complete which is why people have been waiting very long periods.
Thanks for clarifying. That sounds crazy. If you defer once you should be guaranteed the next intake. Doesn’t make sense at all.
