Starting a thread for 2025 gigs as they'll likely start rolling in.
I'll arbitrarily throw in Rob Beckett playing the Olympia on the 26th September 2025 which went on sale today.
**** yes
Neil Young with Van Morrison malahide June 26th
Slane contender?
Jess Glynne is supporting Justin Timberlake
Tasty.....
I think Slane is dead as a venue tbh. stadium shows like the weeknd are just better suited to actual stadiums
Tasty lineup, when was the last time Van Morrison done an outdoor full standing gig ?
Agree with that, The Weeknds last tour did look great (from clips I've seen) in Marlay Park but it's was more suited to a stadium. Some others wouldn't have as many effects so can work out well in field settings
van played iveagh gardens last summer. other reality is stadiums are just far easier to run a production from. Better transport connections, infrastructure like toilets, power and well developed transport management plans that are already pre approved by garda for big match days.
What interesting about this to me, is, Neil has dumped Aiken Promotions, who have been promoting all his gigs here for decades.
yeah with RDS under construction aiken didn’t have a suitable venue for him. MCD swooped in with perfect venue for it.
Marquee announcing another gig at 5. Must be biggest year yet for number of gigs.
it’s D block europe
Some right lash of presales for Neil at Malahide Castle:
Looks like GA is 89+ TM fees, and golden circle is 99 + TM fees, which seems fine to me.
NY Archives Members Presale : Feb 25th, 10am

district x one day festival in Palmerstown house is back. Overmono, Armand van helden etc
I never heard of them 🙈 I must be old
At first I was thinking what section was that ☺️
Ah brilliant and its in June too.
June was looking a bit barren before now.🤣
Same!
Neil and Van, a Slane rematch. That was a good day out.
Thanks, never knew about The Aliens, giving them a virtual spin atm.
Aikens had an announcement on twitter over the weekend saying an announcement at 10am today, has since been deleted, so this one, might be the replacement. Must be a record alright, # 26 gig to be announced later
Would not expect much though alas.
…me too… 😲
Much as I love Neil Young, & have seen him twice (Malahide before & Kilkenny with uncle Bob), I truly cannot stomach Van Morrison. I know, I know - probably an unpopular view. I've tried to love him. I realise his very early music was ground breaking. I am happy for an artist from NI to have been doing so well back then. I know all that. But over the years, his curmudgeonliness & his at times rather biased views have left me feeling cold. But I tried, still, to like him.
Then, he goes all right wing alternative over COVID, & that was it. In particular, the shenanigans with Ian Paisley Jr in the Europa made me very angry. And releasing songs criticising vaccinations & mainstream management of the pandemic was awful. As a healthcare worker working in Derry & growing up in NI, I'd had enough.
So, no, I won't go. Sorry!
Rant over!
But I imagine this will indeed be a good day out for lots of people. Enjoy!
gig #26 for marquee
I agree... and on top of the fact he's generally objectionable, he's often terrible live.
That said, I've never seen Neil Young, so I'm still tempted...
Oh agreed on Van but that was a class day, running late, pegging it over the hill to the strains of Gloria...just great memories of that gig. All a bit of a happy hazy blur but defo enjoyed them both.
Wu Tang clan and Run The Jewels announced a USA and North American tour, pity we won't get it here
It will come to europe
God be with the days of the likes of Pink, The National, Lady Gaga, Kanye West, Olivia Rodrigo etc.,
Roy Keane is better than all of those
True, has himself and Michael McIntyre sold out three nights each?
I think 4 comedians this year there, Tommy, Chris Kent, Michael and Dara
Michael still needs to sell out his 3rd night which he will eventually will.
