Are you my neighbour, and the dog called Massie?
No, that's not my dog!
I've 3 of them now should I ever wish to do it again but motor tax costing me 120 a year these days so might not bother.
1293 I think it was for the 3 litre pre 08 cars, I believe that's over 1400 now.
Good to see a few listings in this thread again, I used to enjoy it and good to see the arguments about what is and isn't a luxobarge still raging on.
A terrible ad. Looks a nice car but really needs better photos and the number plates changed.
I must say that I’m enjoying browsing for Luxobarges much more than bangers. I suppose there are only so many Influenzas a person can look at…

Nice S350
lowish miles and FSH
That car has been for sale for close to a year now. I don’t know what the story is with it because it’s presented well. I considered buying it at one point.
That is a long time. It’s not big money and has plenty of NCT so I wonder what is up with it…
Yeah, its definitely past the 6 month mark anyway. Shouldn’t take that long. I sold my RX450h in a few weeks for more money than that.
Motor tax of €1800 a year perhaps? Still a lot of car for the money but you would really have to want the car to pay that much. I know motor tax isn't everything but at this end of the market, it accounts for almost half of the asking price….. every year!
Does anyone actually pay motortax when buying these cars? I know I certainly don’t😂
Just drive it at the weekends.
Definitely a factor. Limited market of people who will pay it. Probably about the same as the people willing to risk not paying it. I don’t think the fine is much of deterrent but it would be a bugger to get it seized on the way to work.
limited number of criminally-minded buyers perhaps?
I bought a 2007 GS450H in March with 95k kilometres on it with FSH , the tax is eye watering but I only gave 3k for it and even with the tax you know what its the best car Ive driven in my life and ive had a few E Class Mercs and BMW 5 Series.
The Mark Levinson sound system is amazing and the 350 BHP is savage. Ecomony wise its probably around 30MPG but not much different to run fuel wise to the 530D GT i was running prior. Definitely will keep it a few years!
Clean looking Jaguar XJ6 for wafting around in:

NCT until the end of next Feb and claims to have had recent work done.
Nice 630i. €5,000. 2005 There was another clean one for €3,500 too but that sold before I got around to posting it.https://www.donedeal.ie/view/36515211
Heres one for the brave. Fresh NCT tho which helps. First thing I’d do is remove that weird stuck on grill. https://www.donedeal.ie/view/37415403
Seller also has this Lexus rx400h for €3K
https://www.donedeal.ie/cars-for-sale/lexus-rx-400-h/37302530
I was actually considering getting another RX the other week and saw that but it was €4k at the time. I probably would have bought it if it was €3k.
its now 3 grand
I know, but I’ve since given my head a wobble and realised I don’t need another one😂
I wonder would you get this for €5k considering the €2400 a year tax.

NCT up this month which isn't a good sign but great service history in the pictures.
Delighted to see this thread back.
Perfect, peak, french, luxobarge

i've missed this thread
Absolutely delusional if he thinks someone will pay that for a 17 year old Volvo Petrol Estate.
This has been for sale a long long time. The non original wheels ruin the car.
If anyone ever gets the chance to drive one of these, do it. Pure luxury!
Agree , lovely car but the wheels are terrible
A couple of facelift E65/66 BMW 7 series on Donedeal at the moment. Both on 240k km, '07 750i short wheelbase asking €7k and the '05 740Li asking €6,850. The 740 is of course from the famous Steve's BMW barn YouTube channel so there's great history there. The 750 could be a bit more of a gamble.

Needs to be sub €5k to be posted in the thread
Due to the significant inflation across all types of cars the 5k limit is no longer realistic. Should it be upped to 7.5 k or 10k?
