No no.. not implying, just curious about your previous stance. I am not one for trawling back through posts.
You do post quite level headed and are not prone to reacting like a 12 year old girl.
long may it continue.
I'm sure there are plenty of people here who'd disagree with that…
But I can't get too worked up about Prendergast v Crowley because they're both good options. It genuinely is a good problem to have.
Prendergast had a shocker in defence yesterday but it's hopefully a blip because he's been generally OK. He's still a fair bit off Crowley in defence and there's no point saying otherwise. On the flip side, he can do things in attack that Crowley cannot and I absolutely see where the coaches are coming from in giving him as much game time as possible.
If France look to be clicking in attack again today, I think they'll have to consider if Prendergast is too much of a risk in two weeks. As of now, I'd be 95% certain they'll stick with him.
Ronan O'Gara made his Munster debut in 1997, a year after he finished university. Between then and 2013, he made 240 appearances for the club, 2,625 points from fly-half. During this time, he won the Heineken Cup twice, the PRO14 (then the Celtic League and the Magners League) three times and the Celtic Cup once.
O'Gara received his first call-up for Ireland in 2000. Between 2000 and 2013, O'Gara was capped 128 times for Ireland and scored more than 1,000 points. During this time, he won the Grand Slam with Ireland in 2009 and three triple crowns.
O'Gara was selected for three Lions tours. On these tours, he was capped twice.
Both Prendergast and Crowley have a lot to do to match what O’Gara achieved He was not a great defender but he did control a game very well. And if 50-22 existed then he would have been even more effective.
Many would feel he has been treated unfairly
He hasn't though.
He had the jersey, another guy came along and took it, it's up to Crowley to take it back now. Same as it is for literally every other player who's ever played test rugby. "Fair" is exactly what it is.
Ross Byrne was firmly the second choice leading up to the RWC and in pole position to be Sexton's successor… then Crowley blew past him. That wasn't "unfair" on Byrne, it just is what it is.
I don't have a record of them. I've had some success for my followers. I'm off to France tomorrow to begin my research on the French game. I can't give away too much but I'll be in a tree in Toulouse keeping an eye on the form of someone who sounds like Cantoine Pupont.
That's a bit disingenuous. Ross Byrne was never at the level of an international test 10, and having him in our 23 only showed that we had no plan B to Sexton. When Crowley emerged, it was a general sigh of relief that we now at least had someone who would start in most international teams.
Not using him in the 6 nations is a wasteful scandal which will inevitably come back to haunt us in the next WC.
Hopefully Crowley will stay around. I expect he will get offers.
I can see Crowley as our no. 12 in a year ortwo.
that can only happen if Harry Byrne joins Munster as starting 10. But would Crowley trust the management to back him? I don’t think so but let’s see what happens in two years.
JJ Hanrahan appears to be coming back to us, not sure how I feel about that other than feeling glad that Billy Burns is being moved on.
Personally I'd prefer Ross Byrne to Harry but Ross has himself sorted with a move.
Good quality feed from Ashton Gate.
is this the thread for the A game?
It’s not disingenuous - do people even know what that means? It’s 100% factual.
The point is Byrne was ahead of Crowley until he wasn’t, Crowley was ahead of Prendergast and now it looks like he’s not. It’s the same for everyone.
People may not like this or agree with it but it isn’t “unfair” I’d say Crowley would be absolutely mortified if he knew people were using the term “wasteful scandal” on his behalf
Barron off already. Smyth from old wesley is on.
I was making tea, not sure what happened to Barron. maybe HIA
They don't have to be. Everyone knows Ireland don't contest opposition lineouts (and sometimes their own) so they can just throw however they want.
Ireland A forwards being munched currently.
Is there a link to youtube or is it on a television channel?
Picked apart there.
Try england, after a good session of too-ing and fro-ing…
good defenses by both teams.

Gavin needs to calm down. Twice he's thrown ridiculous offloads - the first time direct to an England player.
Try Ireland.. Bolton.
Deegan with a majestic final pass
And Ireland return the favour and pick England apart. Nice try
Great try - lovely passing. Crawley can't convert.
Frawley?
If that's a penalty then it's a card.
Sorry, obviously. Fat fingers.
Shane Daly looks fecked
Shane Daly goes off banjaxed. Harry Byrne on - Frawley to 15.
