Just wondering if anyone has any idea around timeliness? I scored 270 so just short of the 273. If I am due to be called in the next batch is that likely to be weeks or months ?
Anyone heard anything in Galway?
Congrats to all those who made it to Stage 3 and best of luck with interviews & practical exercise! Hopefully we'll see some movement in other regional counties soon.
Was lucky enough to pass and will have interview in March. Getting all a bit real now.
Based on last comp I think they will get to OOM 900 on this one by end of the comp. Clearly depending on vacancies and how many pass/fail each round.
Anyone heard anything in Cork?
well done and good luck to everyone who got through. I was just outside the stage 1 cutoff for this batch to progress to stage two. Based on the info here today I don't have much hope for progressing at a later date. If they're keeping another tranche of already stage 2 shortlisted candidates for a further batch of interviews, I doubt they'll do another pull from the stage 1 panel again. At least it looks like they're aiming to do these comps more regularly, almost annually. Can't believe they dragged the last one out so long….
Great, thanks for that update!
Everyone who had their application reviewed in Stage 2 which I think was the first 260 people in Dublin. If you're outside of this your OOM is the same as the application wasn't reviewed but will be down the line.
That's my understanding.
Did everyone get a new OOM or just the first few hundred?
No I think that's correct
Came close but didn’t quite pass, knew going into it I was a bit light on experience so can’t say I’m too disappointed. Interesting to see how other people found the scoring.
I passed shortlisting (barely). My OOM increased as a result but delighted I passed anyway. Didn't get into the first round of interviews, my score is around the 200 mark. Best of luck to all being called for interviews next. Please let us know how you get on. Also the timeline you are given notice and hear results etc.
Thanks!
From their message: "We are currently inviting those candidates who achieved a total score of 273 or higher from Dublin and total score of 172 or higher from Mayo to Stage 3 of the selection process - Main Interview and Practical Exercise. It is envisioned that Stage 3 will take place in March. Candidates who achieved a total score lower will be called forward in due course."
a friend of mine who was in the top 100 has not progressed. He received 30 something marks on one category. It stated 40 marks was needed to pass
Congratulations!
Have they given any indication around interview dates? Best of luck with them!
Seems to suggest that shortlisting is based on total score rather than order of merit. I wonder is this a mistake
Moved up 100 places myself and through to the next round to be interviewed.
Shortlisting out. Thankfully passed. Those candidates who achieved a total score of 273 or higher from Dublin and total score of 172 or higher from Mayo will be invited to Stage 3 .
results out for shortlisting
thanks for the info, obviously I’m hoping they won’t extend it but it makes sense given how much has gone into forming this panel for both the CS and the candidates.
PAS said they "hope" to issue shortlisting results for batch 1 Dublin (open OOM 260 and interdepartmental OOM 167) in late Feb.
Yes saw that too, fingers crossed it is extended.
Thanks for this, I was looking at the site and it seems like it does get updated frequently so once a week makes sense
Ok thanks for help
