you get a type two cable, make sure it’s in the boot. No, if you have a tethered cable already at home that will cover you. the mobile charger would be handy say if you are renting a house and need to charge car and car leave it plugged in for 15-20 hours
The additional Type 2 cable can be used for on street SCP's, chargers in the likes of Lidl, Aldi, or any other destination with AC charging, hotels etc.
The Mobile Charger is 32amp so much handier than that if you have any access to 16a/32a connection etc like at a caravan park or farm/workplace with commando sockets
The Mobile Charger is your get out of jail for free card.
Is there a type 2 adapter to convert it to use with a 3 pin home socket ie convert to a granny charger?
not that I know of. I don’t think you can daisy chain T2 cables

Not possible, circuitry is required hence the "box" on a granny "cable"
my estimated date has disappeared from app, heard that’s a good thing….no time to collect with work till Friday next week if offered anyway….
If car is available and has been paid for they will be flexible with pick up date… it only is a problem if it extends over a quarter end (31 March ) which is not the case with you so you should not worry
has anyone called Tesla’s bluff when they strongarm their own customers to take delivery in end Dec or end June, and still got their car Jan or Jul? ie Tesla didn’t ’give it away to someone else’ and were just looking to push volumes into their financial quarter
my estimated date range (13th-28th Feb) disappeared on the 15th. It appeared back yesterday (20th) with a new range of 20thFeb-7thMar, at the same time I got a text from tesla to say "the earliest actual delivery date is the 7th of March, please confirm if you can take this"
God I hope I am in the same boat as you. My new date is now 4th March → 19th. No text yet though. Any of ye collecting from Cork? Probably would have the car now if I selected Dublin :-)
just pilled back in with a 4th to the 17th march.
You see quite a lot of posts on the Tesla Owners Group of people saying they'll refuse delivery until January/July, being told it might be March/September if they refuse the delivery and then later they're back complaining about having to wait until March/September. I'm sure some do get pickups in January but you only really hear the disgruntled cases where it doesn't work out like they want.
There's no cloak and daggers, if you don't want the car it goes to the next in the list and you go back to the end of the list

there is a conflict though, between the registration plate changes in Ireland on the on hand, and Tesla’s own financial targets on the other.

Even if you don't care about Elon, the depreciation you're likely to experience in the next few years is likely to be much higher Vs what would have been experienced over the last few years, as there will be significantly less customers interested in buying a secondhand Tesla.
No, I don't think that will happen to be honest.
People forget very quickly. Look at the VW emissions scandals. People will buy what suits them. They wont care in a few years. We will be on to something or someone else.
Embarrassed, frankly, for anyone buying a new Tesla at the moment. Would want to seriously have a look in the mirror to justify giving Musk your hard earned cash.
Plenty of alternatives out there without the mortification of a Tesla badge.
