Love them Honda's
Already gone....
which one of ye bought this? 😀
i shoulda moved faster…lesson learned. would have been a good starter car for my son. assuming all was legit with it…
It sold - a guy messaged me and he was clear and no bull. The 4/5 other people who messaged me were all offering me money - I sold it for 85% asking price which was bang on what I wanted for it - I got offers ranging from 46% to 65% without any of these people asking to see the car first. Maybe the location wasn’t close by so they wanted some assurance of what I might accept before travelling but considering some of the low balls, it was just energy wasted - a lot I didn’t reply to for that reason.
Very difficult to get insurance on a car that age for someone starting out, been there done that and it's a nightmare.

Considering the rubbish being offered right now at that price - it’s worth a look
Gone already
thanks, hadn't considered that could be an issue.
Ford fiesta 2003 - 1590 eur
Future classic in very good shape
2010 Vw tiguan diesel- 2500 eur
Not at all surprised at that - if it checked out it was vastly superior to other cars at that price range and year that I’ve seen over the last week. One thing I’ve found dealing with a bangeromic for sale over the last week was, quality sells at a realistic price VERY quickly - the car doesn’t have to be perfect by any means but it does have to hit a few key markers - be it low milage, presented well, NCT service etc etc - not all of them but certainly some of them
The amount of very high milage badly presented cars I’ve seen advertised for mad stupid money is nearly unbelievable - you can get caught up as a seller asking too stupid money - both too high and too low - but from my personal experience and examples like the above - “quality”, priced correctly, sells in no time
22 years old - who would buy it? And at that price?
Future classic??? I don't know about that, perhaps if it was a sportier version.
The mileage is very low but the money is strong enough for a 22 yro car and its a 3 door which also limits its desirability to potential buyers.
Its a low mileage car, with cheap tax, cheap insurance, only 3 owners, a decent NCT, and good cosmetic condition. It has all the merits of being a good purchase. Why wouldn’t somebody buy it? Its not even overpriced. I’m sure someone will make an offer if they aren’t happy with the price
….
That should be in this thread.
Completely agree. The good cars that are priced appropriately go in a few hours at this price.
Side bar question, what site / app do you recommend to do a history check on a UK import ? So it needs to have UK and Ireland history ? Thanks in advance.
Cartell gives UK History. It seemed a bit limited compared to me but perhaps that was just the particular car I checked?
Final question hopefully :)
I am about to buy a car around the 6K mark from a private seller.
How do you recommend I pay, cash ? Some other method ?
Thanks
Revolut or cash is best, otherwise there are transfer limits, wait times etc.
This 407 was sold for €2,000 in August 2023 and it was in immaculate condition.
It is up for €3,000 now and it looks like it has been used as a skip!!!!! Why do people
destroy nice cars!

Bought myself this, taxed till end of August for 2k in total and fresh NCT till end of February 26. Have it a nearly two weeks now and have to say quite happy with it. It's spotless. Only thing is tax is 600 on it but won't mind that. Keep me going for a good while.
Add is removed
Cause I bought it
We can’t see the car you bought.. your link doesn’t work because the add is removed.
