Yes, they were so high energy with a different sound, sort of jazz/ska intros to their songs then they just went mental.

Folks any idea when they release stage times for the Borderline Festival? I'm in on Friday and could do with an idea of what's on where and when. Looking forward to Personal Trainer, Opus Kink and Being Dead, would be delighted for any more recommendations off the Friday bill.
I saw Mount Palomar supporting Fat Dog and thought he was very good. One guy behind a laptop and mixing desk making dance music, not usually my sort of thing, but I really enjoyed it

Saw them at Green Man, festival slot I know but they were fantastic. Some great tunes but absolutely hilarious with it.
Despite nostalgia for this sort of thing running amok I would dechiper that it still wouldn't do the business to work.
With perhaps the exception of Dropkicks and The Offspring your typical Slam Dunk headliner would be lucky to do well in the Olympia.

That's standard. Lowest price and best seats are just two ways of prioritising how Ticketmaster displays whatever tickets are left (whether its seated or standing).
Given that Bryan Adams probably appeals to older fans, its not a huge surprise that the seats went first. Seems to be the same in Belfast with just standing left.
CLT DRP, Honeyglaze, Mould, Pale Blue Eyes, Theatre should see you right for various forms of guitar action. Personally i'd also be having a gander at Plantoid, Punchbag and The Orchestra For Now, out of curiosity though rather than a full on recommendation.
I was very surprised when they sold out Whelans Upstairs last November. I had intended just rocking up on the night and paying on the door. Missed out, so i'll probably hit the Workmans gig. Lael Neale in the Cellar the following night, no idea what she's like live but the most recent album is great.
I always find Belfast a weird comparison with Dublin for gigs for some reason. It seems like acts who sell out in heartbeat in Dublin are slower to shift tickets there.
I've heard several great recommendations for Theatre. Nephew and niece separately plus a couple of local pals. A big buzz about them so expect a lot of the yoof at their set.
in fairness it’s catchment population is significantly lower than Dublin so SSE arena versus 3 arena or ulster hall versus Olympia don’t have same sell out basis
Yes Belfast is a small city by international standards and would not be as affluent as Dublin.

A tour announcement is expected any day now, there is no guarantee he will play Ireland, so it is speculation at this point.
If he does play here, he has mentioned previously, all gigs will be outdoor, so that limits him to venues like Malahide Castle or similar.
Do we really need another 200 person venue 🙄
What we could do with, (despite FanIrish's scepticism) is a 3,000 - 5,000 venue to fill that void that currently exists!

In all seriousness though… Yeah, 200 is such a low capacity that its around the size of a cinema screen so its more akin to a conference room.
You're spot on though. A 3000-5000 indoor venue would be ideal in Dublin.
