A thread to keep each other up to date about where we all are in the process
How long does your medical, fitness test and vetting stay valid for? I think I’ve seen someone say it on here before but cannot find it anywhere 🤦♂️
MMedical Is 6 months they just ask you to confirm no changes everything is stays valid you have to redo pca as part of college
Medical is 6 months they just ask if there's been any changes everything else stays valid you have to redo pca as part of the course when you get to GV
Heard on grapevine, next intake will be May, no intake for April.
Well guys, I hope everyone's doing alright!
Anyone who is currently in or out of Garnerville have any tips for the Developmental test? Lol
I know it isn't scored or anything like that, but some advice would still be appreciated! Cheers!
Is there anyone else in here still waiting on their vetting or is it just me? 7 months now and still nothing since last Oct/Nov.
My vetting was sent off in August, had a credit check in September and haven’t heard anything further since my SMT in November. I did email in January out of curiosity and got the generic “it’s still processing” response.
I sent mine off in July and had credit check end of October and a couple of queries but nothing since
Still waiting had to attend for a vetting interview a while back haven't heard anything since and not hopeful that I will till after April
Sent vetting last April few queries from them in October, nothing since. Quite sickening when candidates with much higher merit scores are in and all, makes you wonder how this is being managed fairly.
Holy moly, you are coming up to a year now. They seem to be being cleared in batches every 5 weeks for the next course. I was hoping to hear last week as it was 5 weeks last tues. Some ppl did hear and I imagine they will be offered may as April won't have an intake. It's really frustrating but at least there is a number of us in the same boat. I was starting to think I was the only one left on here lol I had 2 queries in oct and nothing since. Think the younger candidates have the advantage with vetting as there is less history.
Yes that’s true with the younger candidates. I would be very grateful for updates of some sort at least so we can make plans/book holidays instead of just silence, but I guess we just have to wait our turn there’s nothing we can do to make it go quicker unfortunately.
I know, I've made a few sacrifices, spent over 10k of savings clearing any finance I had etc. Be nice to know it wasn't for nothing lol
I haven’t even had a query from them - literally not a peep since SMT. I’m just assuming that no news is good news 😅
It's so frustrating at this stage given is was just shy of 3 yrs since we attended the assessment centre lol
Well folks, I'm officially out. Absolute disgrace how long this has/is taking. I've accepted another job. Good luck to those still waiting but I've had enough. Time for me to move on.
100% don’t blame you!! All the best, good luck in the new job 👍
Thanks. I was late 30's when I started this whole thing so time was never now my side. Hope you all the best and have great and safe careers.
Good luck in your new role. Have you withdrawn your application with psni? You are one of many from this campaign and the numbers of applicants this year is way down too. The budget is really causing alot of the problems we have incurred in this campaign. The vetting team is supposed to be very small hence the timelines for clearance. Not sure how they are gonna have new applicants through process and starting in September as suggested
Yeah I have emailed a withdrawal request.
I would have left my name in hat mate just incase, you are probs going to get an offer in the next few months
Well that’s now 12 months since I have sent the vetting off to the day and nothing back. Had a hit on my credit score within 4 weeks of sending it off since and nothing. So those thinking 3-4 months is long it’ll be a while yet.
I would be flipping my lid at this stage, 12 months 😱😱. I'm 7 months at present to the day. It's weird yours is away 12 months and nothing, I would prob email and just check all is OK and that you haven't missed an email or something. They sent me a couple of queries months back and only give you 7 days to respond.
I'm on about 7 months of waiting for vetting.
And I'm already currently vetted ...
Make it make sense lol
Same
vetting finally cleared
congrats, did you just pass today?
hi when did you send your vetting off.? I sent mine April and still waiting 🙈
Think It was may June
anyone else hear about their vetting?
