Hoping a New Thread may fix the posting issues.
Do you think we’ll have a 7 point lead for long if we keep playing like that?
But we only use 13 or 14 of them!
And I agree. It's a great squad. No need for more squad fillers. FSG want a player they will try get him. Whether they want to come is a different matter.
Just wish we would rotate a bit more
Good signs to play within ourselves and to keep putting points on the board, if this is our dip, I'll take it .
I've noticed the last few weeks that teams are taking a risk against Liverpool now, they putting more numbers up front and pressing high. It's really effecting how Liverpool try and move the ball through their central passing lanes.
Teams started doing this to City and few years back, it's when Pep decided to switch things up and put additional centre halves in his back 4, while invertering at least 1 of them in the build up play. I wonder will Slot try something like that down the line with Liverpool, because they're beginning to look a little flat.
7 points clear, that's all that matters
That’s just hindsight analysis
there was no talk of “ always going to be leggy” before the game everyone was expecting a reaction
Liverpool probably have the best overall squad in the league and are 7 points clear at the top. Would you stop talking nonsense.
could have been 4 goals up true but weirdly our offensive game is being nullified which is a concern but if we score two per game and keep Konate on the pitch we should win enough. Won’t have the gas for a CL tilt as well. Gravenberch looks gassed in the last two games.
By my revised calculation we need 8 wins 2 draws out of 13 to win it we have 7 home games in that - Arsenal need to win 10 and draw 3 to match that one is away to us
He was awful in his last game. Previous to that he was decent enough.
or Elliot
For some reason I thought Endo was sub 5, didn't realise they still had one left
100% after the robbery of Wednesday always going to be leggy. For those criticising Robbo it’s what he’s being doing all season. Trent and him are our weakest links.
Three terrible performances Plymouth was awful too
Lol.
Talk about being dramatic 🤣🤣
Hard faught win to go 7 clear at the top. Let's not go full crazy yet!
I thought we were perfect right until Konate's yellow and the wheels started to fall off from there (not blaming him for everyone else)
True but Salah and Nunez were really just passengers the last 25.
Not the game for him. Endo a much better sub to try shore things up.
Very poor today, need to pick it up in a big way in we want results against Villa or City
I just wanted a relaxing game.
Id say after two relatively fortunate goals and a 2-0 lead at HT we should have done better.
It all went for us.
Two poor performances in a row. Worrying but it was a must win and we got the points. Need a massive improvement in the next 3 games. We look like we are running out of steam which is awful given the schedule we have in the next 2 weeks.
Rotate for the fking carabao cup final (should have done more of it all along)
League is all that matters couldn’t give a **** about any of the rest
I'm going to peel myself off the ceiling and tune into the battle for 12th place
Should be a good one
No faith by Slot for Chiesa to come on in that situation.
The lack of signings by FSG catching up with us now
10 men Ipswich got a point at Villa, That 2nd half they went as if they would conserve energy and control the game by doing little as possible and when Wolves scored they could not pick up their pace again.
Just a tricky period now with all these tough away games. If we can get past it we only have 4 games total in March, being out of the FA Cup. Which should give us time to recover. Would take 4 points now from Villa and City away to be honest.
Teams are simple compacting the middle against us now from higher up the pitch, and cutting off all passing lanes from defensive. So we no longer get the likes of Gravenberch striding forward and getting us on the front foot. It's why we're seeing so many 50/50long range balls from the back now, as all options seem to be cut off. Everton did the exact same to us the other night.
I'm not sure if Slot doesn't trust the personal, but the only way to counter this is to get it wide. Why were persist on running everything centrally when it's clearly not working I don't know.
Not the performance I’d have expected after the disappointment midweek, a worrying performance if anything but we will take the win and move on. We seem to have lost the ability to control a game and we seem pretty abject all in all.
we are awfull to watch lately but who cares all about points
Ccommiserations to those fans demanding a "statement" win today. Personally I'm delighted with the 3 points
