I'll arbitrarily throw in Rob Beckett playing the Olympia on the 26th September 2025 which went on sale today.
Yeah saw him in the Point in 2014 and it was, yeah, ok. 2004, 2011. Same. Some good bits but, twas fine.
Vicar St last year a different beast. New stuff is great. Hope he gets the album released. But he had us starting with a perfect version of How Soon is Now.

This ...is why we are going. We both turned off him because of his views in the last few years but some friends who were stalwarts have persuaded us that it will be as good as the last one so fingers crossed he doesn't go on one for the night !
Loads of buses up and down from Connolly to Fairview.
My experience is bus to it but walk back unless prepared to wait at Marino for queues to abate . Every bus north was full when we were coming back from there last summer .
Still handy venue just factor that in for afterwards .

Tomorrow night upstairs in Whelan's Alien Chicks ( sort of post punk/ beastie boys sound from UK) with support from Dream Boy and Black Nylon. Tickets only €12 - you couldn't get into the cinema for that price. They're high energy so if there's any sort of decent crowd it should be really good.

IMC is pretty much €5 4 days of the week, 2 for €10 Sun-Thurs with 3plus.

Wireless festival have announced their headliner for this year....3 days of Drake. Got some good free promotion with a full stadium of a HT show essentially calling him a nonce, so that's a good start
