Add states NCT is on the 18th of Feb. So presumably being sold with a new NCT
I'm not defending the guy but it seems the NCT is booked for Tuesday the 18th. Not the worst offender if it comes with a fresh NCT.
Underpowered petrol with no NCT and not even hoovered inside.
Might suit a sole trader/business owner who can’t avail of the SEAI grant or whatever. Still way overpriced tho.
Somebody who wants that spec and doesn't want to wait 6 months or whatever....for delivery of their own one.
Hoping someone doesn't know that.
They're cheap as chips in the UK, good ones 2-4k, but VRT is horrendous on em. That asking price means the total price is closer to 20k, lol 😂
Its a spunk mobile.... 100% winner of dreamer of the year. Its only 4th Jan
You just know that baby seat is hiding something nasty!
At least tint the back windows to go along with the theme.
As Jeremey Clarkson says about people who do this:
"They take a perfectly ordinary car and ruin it"
MITSUBISHI LANCER X for sale in Co. Dublin for €7,300 on DoneDeal
Totally not a scam, komrad🙄

Utterly speechless
Has dealer got Christmas decorations up early or has that car been for sale for a long time
Plenty of relatively common stuff can go up amazingly in value (eventually)....if the motoring stars align.
But thats a discussion for a different thread. This thread is dedicated to laughing at and ridiculing the dreamers 😂
Ah right, sorry I got ya now.
If I had bought that 2007 R171 for €6k when I test drove it 5 years ago it would have nearly doubled in value,i certainly think i could sell it for €10k. I think that's mental and can't think of many fairly common cars that would be the case with.
When I said 'face lift', I meant a newer generation ie. R172 as opposed to R171.
There may indeed have been a mild facelift of the R172 during its lifetime and thanks for pointing that out.

Its not a 12 reg,the reg on it is a dealers reg 12-C-0000.
It's a 2009 R171 SLK.
Also, the example in the link is not a facelift model,it's an 2015 R172,the face lift R172 came out the following year and they were discontinued after that.
Not trying to be smart! Just pointing it out.
Seems to be some confusion with that advert. Its says 2009 in the description, but in the photos its got a 2012 reg. Either way he's well into dreamer territory. In fact he's probably asking twice what its worth…and don't get me started on the aftermarket painted brake calipers (looks soo gauche)
Heres a facelift 2015 model for 20k.

In 2019 I took a 2007 1.8 SLK for a spin.Standard enough,average milage and good condition. Dealer wanted €7k,I offered €6k and he said sure.Things happened that meant I couldn't buy it.
A similar 12 or in the above case nearly 15 year old bog standard SLK now goes for between €15k and €18k,or in the above case looking for €20k
Fook me.

€20k for a 1.8 2009 SLK 😄
CVRT on a camper. Being a Bongo it will most likely fail on the rust anyway.
Well the tax & MOT are well expired, so if you wanted to do things properly you would pay the vat & customs owed and VRT it. Then probably spend a few quid getting it through the NCT. I have no problem buying UK cars that have been here a long time but expect a long list of NCT fails when you do get around to doing that
Thanks for that,I figured it was a jap import alright with the shape of the number plate.
I wouldn't nessesarily trust someone owning a car here for a few years driving around on UK plates. It just shows they're a bit of a messer imo and I'd worry what other corners they were cutting in relation to the vehicle.
Of course I could be well off there and there's a good reason for it but I'd steer clear.
Its a Jap import year 2000 with a recorded mileage of 128,000 km in Aug 2022. MOT expired since Aug 2023 so presumably its been here around a year or two and probably has close to 150,000 km now.
How long has this guy had it if its on UK plates?
I can't even tell what year it is from that ad,good to know the vital stuff though like everybody compliments him where he goes with it.
While these Ford Fredas/Mazda Bongos have a bit of a cult following as campers, they never make this money. €12,000 is cloud cuckoo land stuff. And it’s on UK plates. No mention of what engine is in it or service history. And winter is the worst time to sell a camper (that’s why I’m looking, hoping for a bargain!)https://www.donedeal.ie/view/37893328
Did you check out the gearstick?
I wonder if Ronald bought it?
