No, not a protected structure, but planning permission is still required to demolish it and no planning permission was sought nor granted it seems.
But sure, in this country, the law only applies to us little people...

no, its the building just up from it. Sort of stuck out on the side of the road. Was derelict a long time. I don't actually remember if it was ever a shop or just a house. Has been derelict for as long as I can remember.
