Satisfactory is good. Its a lot slower paced than most other automation games I've played, and the first person view makes it unique enough. Very relaxed game, and after 17 hours I just copped that it's leaving ea and 1.0 is dropping on Sept 10th, which changes a few things and adds a story, so stopping now and will start again when that lands.
In the meantime, Black Mesa is just under a fiver, so that should tie me over.
PLayed the new wow expansion the war within, levelled a few characters to max level as leveling is super fast now, nice expansion but as with the last few expansions i feel i have enough after a few weeks.
Space Marine 2 was always on my rader and wow it doesnt disappoint, might be my GOTY so far.
Campaign is brilliant, operations and pvp modes are great if like me you enjoy grinding progression of your characters.
I also jumped into Wayfinder recently and its a great game now.
Combat is excellent and and like SM2 above if you enjoy character/class progression with excellent combat you will enjoy wayfinder too.
It has a huge amount of content too.
Satisfactory 1.0 dropped last week. Put in a story and made uses for those weird things you could collect with no use!
has to be the most addictive game ever made
Have it running on Crossover for Mac on m3 pro better than PC, some reason was getting stutters on a 4060
I'm averaging 55-60fps on the 3060, but only after seeing a video of the game I realised I'm not getting some graphical features, such as the clouds being pushed away when using the space elevator. Still looks great though even with the small bits of tearing and stuttering, but I'm only after unlocking oil so long way, and lots of moving parts, to go.
For some bizzare reason I was getting 110fps average BUT during fights or when building foundations it would drop to 10fps which as would imagine is annoying, the same didn’t happen when I had early access, so it’s something recent for sure with 1.0 (I tried DX11 too)
Tried lowering graphics settings but same
On MacBook Pro m3 getting consistent 80-90fps in meantime
Eitherway great game 😄 ridiculously addictive
Yeah, it's actually massive, but I love it can be rushed or taken at a slow pace. Did get a sinking feeling when unlocking Tier 5/6 because it's gonna take a lot, but I'm enjoying the exploration and just letting those stacks build 4 per minute!
Was playing Warcraft expansion the last few weeks but as previously I think I'm done with warcraft again for a long time. Picked up Gotham Knights as it's on Gamepass and really pleasantly surprised with this. Reviews I thought were not great but so far this is very decent and id definitely recommend giving it a try.
FFS, despite its flaws I was really enjoying Gotham Knights, log in earlier and the fcuking thing has left Gamepass. :(
Forever Winter has a pretty good atmosphere. Started it last night and had fun.
Back playing Rimworld at the moment, but tempted to give Factorio a go, as i've never played it and they've released a pretty big DLC that allows you to launch into space.
Factorio is one of those games that should click with me and take over my life for a period but despite several attemps, it just doesn't. I don't know why.
Rimworld on the other hand does that regularly.
Worth checking out Dwarf Fortress If you like Rimworld. It doesn’t have guns or sappers so it stops those type of base invasions, which I didn’t like in Rimworld. It’s also has multiple levels, so when you dig down it’s another whole layer. It’s more complicated than Rimworld but I think it works better.
Aye, I've done some time there, and I did enjoy it. Definitely more complex in a lot of areas, but doesn't have the same charm to it for me - a different charm perhaps. It's also an absolute ballache to control at times.
Playing Stalker 2 and MS Flight Sim 2024.
Both are giving people issues but both been great fun for me.
Stalker might well be the perfect game for me, i love some realism and tense combat in my shooters, throw in some RPG , vast open world, exploration, tonnes of quests, finding loot and gear all wrapped up in an amazing environment and atmosphere and its close to everything i enjoy in games.
So far it my GOTY.
Stalker 2 is doing the same for me .
Back on a big Grim Dawn binge again. Ahead of the expansion coming out early next year. Really is an excellent ARPG.
Levelling a Sentinel to 100, nearly there, Captain America'ing everything in sight with extra poison and acid damage. Very therapeutic.
Wow, classic. Can't believe I've started a new character on this, I don't have the time to invest in this. Saying that for pure nostalgia this is brilliant and goes back to a time when I had not seen anything like this before on computer. it must be nearly 20 years ago since I started playing wow, different times.
Done the same and felt myself getting taken ovcer once again so i pulled the plug and cancelled sub, too many other great games i want to invest time into but i 100% get it and only for those other games id still be in neck deep :)
After ditching my recent warcraft itch took into Dead Island 2, really enjoying this at the moment, mindless zombie slaying
Path of Exile 2 (early release).
Enjoyable so far, limited weapons and loot though.
I cannot put down POE2.
Looking at my steam games played this year Last Epoch is my most played, its a brilliant game but POE2 really has outdone it now as my favourite ARPG.
I say that as someone who loves the genre but couldnt really get into POE2 , it just felt clunky to me since day one and never really changed over the years for me personally but POE 2 is a totally different beast, simply phenomenal game so far.
No game is perfect and POE2 is no exception but what is there in early access is excelent and will only get bigger and better as GGG invest heavily into it.
I liked Epoch as well, but twice on play through I got to a certain boss ( dont think if was really deep into game) and just could not get passed, I seemed to hit a dead end. made me quit playing both times
Nothing worse.
First game of the year is Ori and the Will of the Wisps.
Finished up with Dead Island 2 and really enjoyed my time with it, well worth a play through. Onto Ashen on Gamepass as well. Not really a fan of soul like games but this seems alright.
Finished up Dragon Age Inqusition last Friday. Finished the Descent DLC as well. Was a good game but the combat became boring toward the end. At level 17 I crafted a set of gear that lasted me the rest of the game which was a sizable chunk. The levelling is quite slow and I finished the game at level 21 so felt like a long time with no upgrades. Loot in general in the game is very poor after getting the first few initial pieces, at the end I wasn't even bothering to open chests.
Complaints aside it's a decent game, story is OK and a good range of companions to choose from.
Will most likely pick up Veilguard when it's a bit cheaper
Indy and the Great Circle via GamePass.
So im trying to get through some of my huge backlog, just finished Uncharted 4 A thiefs end from the legacy of thieves collection.
Really good game in many ways but my God i wanted it to end a lot earlier as i was so sick of jump to this ledge then swing here rinse and repeat, it really is over done imho.
I also found the gunplay to be really poor but as an adventure game it was very enjoyable overall.
Delta Force Warfare , and I'm not even sure why .
It plays like your typical FPS Battlefield…ish but then you have to set up your guns like it's a bloody sim style game . You get the drop on him but he has figured out a better setup with the same gun and he fires off and few bullets with laser like precision .
I'm more mellow these days so overall I don't care but ….. in the moment it can be annoying .
