It's no beauty queen but with a years test it would keep you moving.

A bit over budget, they're a fairly grim driving experience but if needs must and you could get it for close to 3k you could do a lot worse.
What's wrong with the driving experience? I assume it's a polo platform ? With a standard enough VW 1,6 diesel , and a 5 speed box ?
Did they cheap out on the suspension, steering and feel ?
They're a very obvious budget build, hard scratchy plastics etc, but as I said if those things don't bother you it's a grand car.

Once again this is slightly over budget and they don't actually say how much test it has, it's surely worth a phone call to find out. People love these yokes, can't see the attraction personally but each to their own I suppose.
Test due 27th May according to NCT website.

Probably a safer bet than a hacked to death diesel, tax wouldn't be too bad either. FB throwing up plenty of cars lately, it was a wasteland of junk for ages.

Looks tidy, 10 months NCT and a sliver of tax, definitely worth a look.
It tends to throw up what it thinks is related to what you look at. The more cars you look at the more it will show you.
No milage mentioned, when it isn't mentioned I always expect very high.
On face value looks good.
2006 Saab 9-5 2.0 petrol auto, NCT and tax, ding on left side rear, €1900
"New front discs and pads
New Oil and filter
Timing belt and auto Transmission serviced"
https://www.donedeal.ie/cars-for-sale/saab-9-5/38924800
That would make a cracking car if you got the paintwork sorted cheap enough
Still kicking myself over one I missed a few years ago by dithering and it was gone before I called back...
Auto petrol estates are very hard to find for bangernomics money these days.
Would the ding be a problem next NCT? It doesn't look hazardous.
Nha, theres no sharp edges. But I think it would be well worth doing. You’d find someone easy enough who would fix it for under €500. And you’d surely get a couple of hundred euros off the asking price to cover it.
Its a lovely colour combo but its a sizeable area of damage would probably want a few euro off
2007 Honda Civic 1.8i , New NCT 01/26 , €2850

That's very strong money for the high tax one.

Tested before expiry which is always a good sign. Definitely worth a look if it's near you.
Whilst looking at that 9-5, I scrolled down to a related link. This is the smaller 9-3 estate and just seems like a hell of a lot of car for small money. I think the 9-3 estate is a nicer proportion and design than the hatchback and a slightly fresher design than the 9-5 too. 2011, diesel for €2150. NCT Jun 25.
(Thats a GM diesel though which possibly has the same problems as the Opel Insignia)

Type a space after the link 😀
Thanks 👍

Good deal, is there something up with the area around the back rear light?
I love the Irish take on there being a service history present. "Service history"= last history 2014 😂
Seems to be a bit of damage there and the bumper. Wouldn't worry me with a car of that age and value.
Might be sticky glue residue from tape or something holding the break light.. I bought a second hand one for €60 from a dismantlers last year .. And a new gear stick cap "with the numbers and reverse " is only €10 from Toyota. Makes it look way better
The 2.0 TiD in the 9-5 was the Insignia engine. The 1.9 from the 9-3 is an older version of the Fiat Multijet engine, idk if it has the same issues as the Insignia engine.
Although iirc, the only big problem with the 9-5/Insignia engine is the seal in oil pickup pipe going hard and blocking the pipe.

Definitely worth a look if you're in the market for one of these, looks to be a tidy job done on the trim over the rear number plate.
Nice classic as a daily driver with 18 months NCT to September 2026. And only €56 tax. Yours for €2,500.
No interior pics and no mention if it's Auto or Manual. But this would be a very cheap commuter if you had it as a 2nd car. If the alloys don't suit, then you'd get a few bob for them as well.

Facebook is the new donedeal
The search engine on FB is beyond diabolical. Almost impossible to narrow it down, so you end out sorting through hundreds of cars. If they sorted that out, then they'd do a lot better. As it is, people use it because it's free and donedeal and adverts are now charging saucy money for a standard ad.
