i have but the generator frequency is not playing right with the solax inverter ,
3.1kW for me at the moment in South Dublin , highest ever recorded. (System installed over Christmas :))
Battery full and free energy going back to ESB since no smart meter for 3 phase yet :(
15kw of battery 100% full, house satisfied and selling to the grid here in Arklow atm
No grid power used at all in last 36hrs as yesterday produced 18kw and we are at over 20 today already and this is only January
January had produced 330 kw so far with less than a few hours of daylight to go according to the Solis app
First day over 20kwh on new 7.92kwp system installed november. Would have been higher but had some clouds around 1pm. Happy with that for the ground tubs in January.
A nice end to January there with 13.4kwhs, the highest daily since getting the panels installed at the end of October.
4.4kwp sse
just 12.4 kWh today but still producing 200 watts or so in Arklow
9kwh yesterday having had rain up until about 2pm then blue sky
Almost 10kwh being pumped out of the panels atm, really ramping up in the last hour as the clouds cleared
12.6kwh produced so far today
System high 22.6kwh today on 7.92kwp ground tubs south facing.
7.79kWp array, south facing, Co. Waterford.
25.7kWh generated, 19.1kWh exported.
System high of 5.9kWh after Nov install, its an east west split 4.4kwp system so pretty happy with that
new record for me today on the December installed ground mount in Arklow
32.8kwh today
Batteries at 74% still at 9pm with enough juice to mean no grid power used at all today again
Two record setting days in a row. 14.1kwh and 15.4kwh today. 4.4kwp sse
38.5 kWh generated today which for start of February is a nice return. 32.1 exported to keep the fit ticking over
Some of the numbers being posted yesterday/today are amazing. I've 8.8Kwp in total across my main roof and the shed and together they "only" managed a meager 14.4Kwhr today. (The main roofs 6.5Kwp is a E/W split so I expect it to be low this time of year)
Still nice to see 3.5kw coming in this time of year from the relatively low sun on the horizon, and no, I didn't jump to 6Kw above. It's a random spike I see in the telemetry in HA. I really should write a filter function, but lazy… :-)
I've a similar setup facing e,w and s (with s catching chimneys these days) and got similar low numbers. South really rules supreme this time of year. As I say to the kids "you get what you get and you don't get upset" 😀
Yesterday ,6th, was as good as it gets this time of year and my 9kWp E/W system delivered 15kWh. A similar day in June would generate 61kWh - of which there were plenty in 2023- not so much last year.
Over half that consumption was for an EV.
08 feb 2025
7.1kWh
from 7.4 east/west Mayo
06 Feb 2025
12.6kWh
Been a pretty grim couple of days. Ain't looking good for today/tomorrow either in Dublin.
Note: Since the met eireann forecast only shows detailed info for 72 hrs, my "3 days time" above only includes generation up to 10am thursday morning, nothing for the rest of the day - so it's not a good forecast until sundown today.
what software is that that you're running? I assume you are getting the predictions from the met Éireann add-on in home assistant, but what are you using to graph the predicted v actual generation?
It's custom - wrote it myself. No HA isn't involved here. Met Eireann have a REST API that you can query, specifying a lat/long location such as…..
http://openaccess.pf.api.met.ie/metno-wdb2ts/locationforecast?lat=53.27;long=-6.32
which is for some random location in south Dublin (not where I live btw) That returns back an XML of the forecast which has hourly blocks like…..
<time datatype="forecast" from="2025-02-10T21:00:00Z" to="2025-02-10T21:00:00Z"><location altitude="68" latitude="53.2700" longitude="-6.3200"><temperature id="TTT" unit="celsius" value="4.7"/><windDirection id="dd" deg="80.5" name="E"/><windSpeed id="ff" mps="5.3" beaufort="3" name="Gentle breeze"/><windGust id="ff_gust" mps="9.9"/><globalRadiation value="0.0" unit="W/m^2"/><humidity value="85.1" unit="percent"/><pressure id="pr" unit="hPa" value="1027.3"/><cloudiness id="NN" percent="100.0"/><lowClouds id="LOW" percent="100.0"/><mediumClouds id="MEDIUM" percent="67.9"/><highClouds id="HIGH" percent="0.0"/><dewpointTemperature id="TD" unit="celsius" value="2.3"/></location></time>
So you can add up all the non-zero values for a day and that will give you the "total solar radiation value" for that day. Let's say it's 2000 for the day. If I know from my 10 day moving average that 1000 "solar radiation points" gives me 3kwh, then if I get 2000 forecasted I know that my yield tomorrow will be 6Kwh.
As you can see, it works out reasonably well. Correlation is decent. Sure, the odd day it's off e.g. mid Jan about the 20th but that's the weather forecast for you, not the code/algorithm. Looks like the forecast for Weds has improved a little since this morning.
We're really in the doldrums at the moment. Out of the last seven days only three have broken the 1kwh mark. (4.4 kwp sse)
Doesn't look like it'll get much better any time soon judging by the weather forecast.
poor production in Arklow this past few days
Yesterday and today the worst around 4kwh
Other days back to the 9th a bit better at 5 to 11kwh
168kwh produced in Feb so far on a 15kwh ground mounted south facing array
Had 12kwh per day a week or so ago, struggling to break 3-4kwh per day at the moment (8kwp SSE)
Yeah, same here in South Dublin city. Feb started out pretty decent, but last week has been grim.
Sadly Saturday, Sunday and Monday coming aren't looking great either.
Just a write off really, likely guts of two weeks looking at the forecast
Decent day in Cork today, 10.75kwh from my 5.95kwp. Much better than forecast anyway.
Seriously grim generation here in Fingal. 4.3kWh generated in past 7 days.
yeah you had Sun yesterday
Dreary as hell here today in the East again
My Panels are currently producing 640 watts or about one 26th of max capacity
Think might actually see a worse Feb than Jan which is pretty insane, for all the global warming nay-sayers, here's your proof
just 6.2 yesterday
11.2 so far today
15kw system Arklow
