Starting a thread for 2025 gigs as they'll likely start rolling in.
I'll arbitrarily throw in Rob Beckett playing the Olympia on the 26th September 2025 which went on sale today.
Beyonce tour announced for LA, Chicago,NYC, Las Vegas, Atlanta, Houston, Washington, Paris & London
no chance of them returning. Hitting the countries/cities they didn’t play last summer
multiple nights in major cities makes sense. Not transporting a massive production endlessly around. 5 nights in London is rumoured
more shows announced for July
It seems to be the model that's starting to be established now that an act will pick a city and it's a more you come to us rather we come to you like a short residency, like Coldplay with the 10 Wembley gigs this year and last year with Adele, I know loads who are going to Coldplay this year who couldn't go croker, with the boom to the economy they bring it might be the way tours of their scale go forward
from a logistics perspective it’s makes life tons easier. Transport costs significantly lower, less crew needed. Easier for artists, can set up proper base for a week or two with family. Concentrating on handful of key cities means price/vip packages can fetch higher than normal. also adds a special occasion atmosphere with people travelling all over for it
Guessing there'll be a good few resale tickets for Mogwai on Sunday now they've added Saturday 🙈
ah Sunday night be handier for people. Also is Mogwai really a Saturday night get drunk band ?
No, but for anyone having to travel home (like me) the thought of getting home late on a Saturday with no work the next day is much more appealing
Yeah it makes perfect sense, I don't think we would have the infrastructure for it, only thing that's come close would be Garth Brooks and the 5 nights, I think cities now will be competing to get these artists now as they just bring such a boost to the economy
Saw Beyonce on her last tour she did up in Edinburgh, I wouldn't make the effort to see her again like, if you're planning on going don't expect her to play the 'hits' as well she just plays the new album associated with that tour and that's it,
AC/DC on the other hand i'd go a 3rd time I'll try and look to see what dates look good
Looking at going to ELO in Manchester, anyone been to the Co-Op before? Should I be fussy about which seats I can get or is it good everywhere?
It's pretty good from anywhere, a bit steep. Food & Drink a bit expensive
The metro to and from is very handy
Foggy Notions announcing 5 gigs this week https://x.com/foggynotions/status/1885672248603816084?t=-HawNhSZ3ZCFPZebdHBM-w&s=19
Any idea of tickets prices for Doobie brothers? Imagine they wouldn't be the cheapest
Not Irish gig but Hugh Jackman in Hyde park has been cancelled. Guessing ticket sales which was a massive ask to fill Hyde park
"Hello, Sir Mick? We have a night available now..."
Yes the ticket sales were appalling.
That always seemed very ambitious
100%, surely somewhere like the O2/Wembley Arena would have been safer
his last tour did crazy numbers. Did two nights in 3 arena with matinee shows
True but that was within 18 months of The Greatest Showman. It's six years later and that buzz is well and truly gone.
ah yeah. I can see why Hyde park promoters took the risk. Truly hard to know the demand for a non touring “novelty” show such as that
Beyonce 5,7,10 and 12 June at Tottenham Hotspur stadium
Would love her to come here
the days of her killing herself trekking all over are probably over
how much money would Spurs be raking in from that residency? And how much of that will the bastards not spend on new players
Wait, is she not due to play Croke Park soon? 🤣
probably only cover a few weeks wage bill at most. Beyonce is an operator and ensures she gets every last dollar where she can.
she is playing it next. Invite only though
foggy notions announced a few shows including Jessica pratt
mannequin Pussy announcing august show in button factory soon
