New Thread to continue discussion for General Premier League. Old thread closed.
Someone was having a go at Havertz there, I really like him. He’s only 25 and I think he can come really good yet. I like his attitude, he gets into great positions and his efforts never go unnoticed by the Arsenal fans.
I think it's because he misses so many chances, I might be wrong as I don't watch Arsenal all the time but I've some bad misses from him.
He scored the more difficult chance yesterday and has 15 goals this season. He's not doing too badly at all.
I work with and Arsenal fan who can't stand him, thinks he's absolutely useless. I do try debate the alternative with him as I think there's a quality player in there. Maybe not a centre forward however.
He's a bit like Nunez among Liverpool fans, completely divides the fan base. If you just look at the Arsenal and Liverpool threads on here you can see this.
15 Jaysus thats quite good, would have guessed around half that, like I said I wouldn't watch them all the time.
If that free kick was better executed, West Ham could have scored. It was a clever idea to try and catch out the Chelsea keeper.
Chelsea level through Neto.
Wait, VAR are checking for a potential offside.
I think they'll be alright.
Shouldn't have stood, clear foul on Bowen.
West Ham hit the post through a Kudus header, but it wouldn't have counted had it gone in. He was offside and VAR would have ruled it out.
Chelsea so fortunately to be in front here, Palmer with a deflected effort.
Chelsea are ahead through a massive deflection. It should go down as an own goal. That's cruel.
The Chelsea keeper had the ball in his hands for 50 out of the final 110 seconds. That rule needs to be changed.
Game week 24 table
9 goals and 3 assists in the PL, while playing as striker for genuine title challengers.
I quite like Havertz as well but he is only joint 12th in the PL top scorer stats, miles behind his peers from the other top clubs.
When Brentford have two attackers with more goals than Arsenals striker then there is a question to be asked.

City buying 4 young players for 175 off million, wary of a transfer ban incoming or Pep getting the ball rolling on a much needed regen 6 months early? Arsenal and Liverpool sticking with what they’ve got, when one of them comes up short come the end of the season the fans will point fingers at their respective owners.
Big difference in saying there are questions to be asked and some here saying he is a terrible footballer.
He hasnt played centre forward all season btw….. played a lot of games in midfield.
Oh and one last point in defence of him. He has convered (well had up to last weekend) the second most amount of ground in league after Bruno. He puts in a hell of a shift which I supsect some other forwards arent asked to do.
you actually took the time to go back and qoute my post from nearly a week ago. Christ above 🤦♂️
I think Havertz is excellent in the 9 role in Arsenal’s system.
But 9 isnt supoosed to be the main goalscorer in Arsenal’s system. It’s the wingers. Very similar to Liverpool. The 9 chips in of course, as Havertz and Diaz are doing.
Took all of about 30 seconds to find, it stood out, because it was so ridiculous.
Yeah I remembered that comment pretty easily too when I heard the scoreline.
I've been there though, making a bold claim about a result then getting instantly humbled when it goes the opposite way.
It happens
I am in a Whatsapp group with 10 Pool fans, 5 United and 1 Spurs…….. I always wait until Arsenal are 3 up before saying anything 😁
The United players are not cheap but that doesn't mean they are good. The posters whole point was that United are paying way over the odds for them.
Looking at their players they are a Europa League squad at best.
I always remember the game away to Bolton in 2008 when they were 2-0 down at halftime and down to 10 men
They won 3-2
You mean the one you were called out on and ignored the replies to? Amazing how you've seen the post from the weekend now all of a sudden
hard to ignore the notification, that only one i was quoted in .
You do know it took Klopp nearly 4 years to win his first trophy
What an amazing night that was. He didn't just win any old trophy. God I'd love to relive that 24hrs
Correct me if I am wrong but wasn't Amorim 2nd choice behind Alonso to take over Liverpool. I think given the time he will come good at United. He needs a couple of transfer windows to get thing's right. Some of these players have thrown several managers under the bus. When United approached him he didn't want to take over mid season but was told it was now or never
I have no idea if Amorim will be successful at United but he gives off way better vibes than Ten Haag did imo
Still took him nearly 4 years to win it but people are writhing Amorim off after 3 months
