I spent about 20 minutes researching the difference between the 65 and 85 for the sake of 20 quid. In the bookies yesterday and fluttered 30 quid in space of 5 minutes but then something like this requires leaving cert type focus!
Excellent just ordered thank you.
Was waiting for a price drop on the Dyson ebay outlet but this will do nicely instead 👍️
It can’t be any worse than a Dyson, they have become total junk
yeah portability is handy but say compared to this for 50 is there any other advantages to them?

That hoover is a horrendous one. Partner bought it and I brought it back after one use, no power at all. Ok for wooden floors but for any fabric it was useless.
reviews saying it's too powerful for carpets? did you find that
No, half of whatever it managed to suck up fell straight back out. Often wonder if half the reviews posted are fabricated.
Invest in a decent hoover, they’re worth it.
that's mad, the reviews do seem good. always had the corded ones, they should be more powerful, that & the battery kinda put off these types

Id use the Henry for everything but its herself has requested a decent spec cordless for her birthday so this fits the bill.
Might throw this in if it matches the battery:

HN have already shipped the vacuum an hour after ordering so should have it soon.
I'm always weary of buying non original batteries.
The only official link I could find was the UK store. £199 theyre looking for it.
Anyone got any links for an official extra battery for JET 85 shipping to Ireland to compare price?
lol I have henry as well..and this was run after henry and got stuff henry could not on a carpet. May be you did not use mid/full power button
I saw one on amazon germany the other day when looking for €165 I think it was but you would have to use post forwarding.
Am I mad thinking if you're set on an original spare battery just order another vacuum? At 165 its 5 euro away from the whole vacuum price after cashback.
We'll see how long it lasts when it arrives. Im thinking I will take a chance on the 3rd party battery as a spare if needed.
65 are going as cheap as £50 after cashback in UK..may be on an option if u know anyone there
I do indeed have a Derry address for bargains. Cant see the 65 as low as that though. Please post a link. Might get that for my mother.
Samsung must be launching a new line to have such a significant clear out sale…great news for us anyway i'm happy with the 65 for the money paid its great value.
not really they do it frequently..have bought a refrigerator, washing machine and now hoover…just have to time right
Can you buy, claim cashback and then return it in a few days 🤑🤑🤑
I know it’s pricier but there is a great offer for the Jet 95 pro with mop from drinagh hardware in another thread here. Works out at €220 after cash back
they have longer for claim to address this thinking ! But T&Cs state they will come back for money recovery if u do that
Good find, Decided to fo with this myself now,
the mop attachment is €200 on it's own, so worth the punt!
Ordered the 85 from Harvey Norman yesterday
Anyone know how long their deliveries usually take?
Got mine 2 days later.
Find the 85 good so far but the battery life is fairly disappointing. On Jet (Full power) you get like 10 minutes.
On Max you get ~20 minutes.
Also I'm wondering, is it better to let the battery completely drain say if you only use it for a quick 5 minutes, I assume it can impact the battery charging it back up to 100% if its only dropped to 70% after use?
We dont have any carpets so hoping the 85 will work well on a medium / max setting perhaps.
Thats a good point about battery longevity. As a rule for my devices (as much as I can stick to it) I dont let battery drop below 20 before charging or charge above 80. And dont start a charge until below 50. I find it does make a difference to holding a better charge for longer. I also calibrate once or twice a year:
that's what put me off all of them - battery life is poor. (but have nothing / haven't researched anything similar to compare against and haven't bothered checking recharge time)
Eww, I was tempted there for days but now I'm happy I didn't bother.
Anyone able to compare it to a Dyson or a Shark?
Battery life seems fine on the 85 for me, no carpets in my house though and only couple of rugs. Sofa and chairs vacuumed every other day.
If you have a normal/small house and don't have carpets everywhere, I think it's grand
