Starting a thread for 2025 gigs as they'll likely start rolling in.
I'll arbitrarily throw in Rob Beckett playing the Olympia on the 26th September 2025 which went on sale today.
Don’t know if anyone’s said but AC/DC announcing more European dates next week sometime, on sale next week
Nice, doubt they'll play Dublin again but it did sell out
probably hitting the major cities/countries they didn’t hit on last run
Did'nt get NIN tickets but picked up a standing ticket for Jimmy Eat World :)
Tom Grennan for 3Arena Sept 13th
The Courettes, Grand Social, Thursday 1st May: https://mcd.ie/artists/the-courettes
Same night as Rival Schools.
Two recommended Irish acts upcoming in Whelans Upstairs, Peer Pleasure on Thursday 20th February and Bucket, Friday 21st March. I particularly liked the latter the one time i saw them.
Amazed that Jimmy Eat World sold out
Delighted to have my ticket
They sound really good, especially Bucket. Booked! Thanks, as always DW. You have great taste in music. 🤓
I’ve already booked Rival Schools so will have to give The Courettes a miss. Shame.
Kingfishr doing the marquee in cork July 24th and custom house square Aug 7th
early 2000’s nostalgia is truly alive
And it's fantastic
Its only the Olympia and they haven't played here for 9 years, is it that surprising?
Kneecap add 2nd night in 3Arena
I saw the Courettes twice at EOTR a couple of years ago, absolutely great craic. Teetering on the verge of a piss take, totally over the top but a beautiful noise, 60s girl group, garage rock, straight out rock n' roll, really enjoyable. Just the two of them but they make quite the racket.
The Courettes also playing The Set in Kilkenny on May 3rd if anybody interested as part of The Rhythm & Roots festival 2-5th of May.
The Delines, Jesse Malin, Steve Wynn and Chimers on the weekend schedule to name a few.
Exactly. No surprise
Absolutely love the Roots festival. Great weekend. I'm booked in for the Delines on the Saturday.
Also in Winthrop Avenue, Cork on 2nd May (i thought MCD's April date was odd!).
Could be more 2000s nostalgia
Good Charlotte getting back together apparently
Were they on hiatus?
Went to Houseplants in Button Factory last night. Band very good, lot of work on visuals since last time there looked really good but without a doubt worst crowd I have seen. Nearly all were talking loudly throughout the gig, in particular know more about the girl behind methan I ever needed to know. So bad myself and the wife moved upstairs, not a fan of being that far back, to get away from it. Why pay for a gig to then talk throughout it 🤬
Sold out in 24hrs, wouldn't be surprised if it gets upgraded.
Apparently so
Didn't even know they broke up tbh
Held off on buying a ticket, oh well. Tbh i don't know what to make of them.
City and colour doing a "sometimes" 20th anniversary show in Toronto, would love a full tour but doubt we will
Beyonce just announced a tour this year, no dates yet. I think they will be announced tonight after the Grammys.
Rolling Stones tour has been scrapped
Ah yeah, they waited too long to decide to tour and all the good venues had no availability. Need to be sure 12 to18 months out for stadium runs.
more summer shows
AC/DC touring Europe this summer. No irish date so far anyway.
