Watched 6 guys playing the 7th and not one has hit the green. 103yds! I'd say 25 handicappers would do better!
That's interesting. And in a high handicap fourball if no-one hit the green on a par 3 like that they'd be embarrassed regardless of the conditions.

No he isn't actually. He's hanging in there. McIlroy has just found another gear over the last hour.
He came back into it. He was all over the course on 6, 7, 8, 9 and dropped out of contention. Pressure off and he gets some shots back and ends up with a good position. That’s been Shane over the last few seasons
He was 2 shots off the lead after 9. 🤣
He wasn't out of contention. He was right in it. And despite McIlroy's super play, he's still in outright 2nd place and with an outside chance after his tee shot on 16. He has had bad days before when in contention, but today isn't one of them.

I’m not sure I understand where you’re coming from. He had 7 birdies and made a great up and down at the 18th to finish second on his own. Your comment seems to focus entirely on the negative. Personally, I thought it was a great performance by Shane.

Take off the green glasses for a moment and I’d want to see Shane win but he does seem to suffer from pressure when leading. His play from 6-9 wasn’t good if people were watching. He dropped 2 shots and one on a par 5. He’s pushing his tee shot. He’s a few shots off the lead and Rory hits a streak and makes a few shots back but since Rory is on a hot streak so never closes in. I’m of course open to correction
