Joe O connor had good first half but should have passed to Paudi for tap in.As an outsider worrying for Kerry as Dublin without many regulars.
personally i think he was let down by a few players tonight especially in the second half , midfield was poor , the kick out strategy was poor in the second half , but the decision making in attacking positions is a real problem with some players , i reckon its not all bad because when tony brosnan comes back into the panel himself and clifford will be the kings of the two pointers , but the fringe players at the moment are not taking the chance they are getting
and whatever about jack your last manager is having equal trouble getting his head around the game in clare , two weeks ago he played a 5 ft 8 wing back in midfield 🙈,
I don't see Jack having the ability to adapt to the new rules. Last year it was very black and white with no plan to change the style of play.
A shambles all over the pitch, shambles on the line and shambolic S & C levels. It has been poor on the pitch for 3 years now yet not anything done about it. The County Board needs to get it's act together as well. Bring in K Donaghy & Donie Buckley next year.
I
that was shocking... we need a few men fast or we're going nowhere
That was quite frustrating to watch
ticket for tonight’s game in ASP free to a good home. Send PM
Indeed, in Munster and Leinster this may well be the case.
I get the feeling from these new rules they could be some right trounces handed out come the summer when the championship through s up these ridiculous miss matches, teams in the league now are evenly matched and some really good games.
Just home from the shootout at the OK Corral. New rules make the game a shootout. There was about 40 scores today with only about 7 from frees.
Derry left it behind them. They had the beating of us. When they were on top in the second half they took one pointers instead of going for goals. The sun was a big factor in the first half and we were playing into it. It was no advantage to us in the second half.
New expression is "Solo and go". Taught we did not maximise the rules. We are not fast enough to get out of our own half. Virtually all kickouts are contested now. Derry were the stronger around the middle we need to work on that.
No..I'm not heading up...on the road all week & the youngest lad is sick.
Last few years I'd rather go to the u20's...better football to watch
The only other positive I can find is Gough is horrified at the changes. He must be afraid he might actually have to whistle for .foul

Are you travelling tomorrow.
Positive but very negative about this year. What I saw go on last year to 20 months was a disgrace. We are losing borderline players. Micheal Burns and Donald Downs coming back isn't a positive. Whatever about Downes Bruns is a negative an old player recovering his place. We have too many journey men pro's on the team.
Heading up tomorrow, I think we will do OK but we need a manager to stand up to the finiancial side of the county board
I would fear for us this year
No real add ons to last year & everyone is a year older.
Dublin,Galway & possibly Donegal ahead of us.
well deserved recall I think. Was a colossus for Crokes. There is surely at least a role off the bench for him.
Interesting to see how these new rules will go for Kerry and in theary we should benefit from them, but in the beauty of sport we will never know, The bookies have us well favourites this year.
So is Donal Downes I heard. I think we are taking two steps back for every forward step with Jack. What happened with Cillian Burke last year was a disaster. I heard Jack and Graham are not tge best of pals any longer either
MIcheal Burns back in this year
Should have started against Armagh, he was our best player last year.
The reason he coukd not express his talent is because Jack did not play him
Great opportunity for Cillian burke at 21 his at his peak, and he can always come back, sadly the way football is being played these talented footballers are not allowed to express themselves on the field and we didn't see enough of him and I wish him all the best.
I'd say there would be a wide variety in "Top 3s" from 2024 across Kerry fans given how the season panned out and our flat performances throughout.
Paul Murphy had a strong year in 2024 after poor campaigns in 2022 and 2023. Wouldn’t go as far as saying he was in our top 3 players though. If he was then we are in bigger trouble than I thought.
Thought Paul Murphy had an excellent year this year, certainly top 3 for us in my opinion anyway.
In 2023 he gave the young red haird lad game time instead of Donal Downes. He persisted with Tony Brosnan and as well. Add Paul Murphy into the equation as well.
Not really anti Joe O Connor but would have had Adrian in the HF line instead of Moynihan. Cillian Burke should have started championship and I cannot understand starting PM. We lacked grit in both 2023 and 2024. Plenty of nice fancy Dan footballers but no bite and ballot players.
He should have been first man in when Jack Barry stepped away. Jack O Connor has ruined this groups chances of another All Ireland. Spillane has stepped away and Joe O Connor will continue at midfield where he is a massive defensive liability.Killian Burke didn’t get the game time he should have got and he is now gone to OZ. Paul Geaney steals game time from players who could actually make a difference in latter championship. Yes I know, flying in Kerry championship bar the final but that’s at a pace that suits him well. If he is on the Kerry panel next year then Brian Looney should be too…..in theory… but seriously that’s a joke.
You called it right.
Cillian has signed for Geelong
had a very lengthy conversation with a few great Gaa men, granted after a heap of creamy pints in an establishment in Killarney and what I could gather out off it was that we don't like too much change
If you took the pints out of it it sounds like a regular episode of Terrace Talk.
Adrian Hardly got going with Kerry I always thought he was good enough to start and I expect so did he and that's why he called it a day
Jack's last year, in surprised at Adrian, his bite will be a big loss to us
Stephen had great days for us & correct decision to go now ( prob should have gone last year)
