line up. All four headliners are super solid for a electronic music festival in 2025. Will deffo get a few older heads out with underworld and Caribou
Looks good - will they announce the split of artists on each day before the tickets go on sale?
only weekend tickets go on sale for time being. Day tickets only go on sale in April with day splits/further line up announcement
ooooh glass beams
Is Forbidden fruit usually adults only? As in no under 16 even if with parents ?
Thats a great lineup. Underworld are one of the best acts to see live.
I plan to go to Beyond the Pale but if I wasn't I'd def be there.
strictly over 18’s.
Glass Beams 👀👀
They were class at atn
probably just as well, my kids can do without seeing me going mental to ‘Born Slippy’
Buzzing with that lineup. I'll be there again. Can't wait to see caribou!!
Underworld utterly amazing when I saw them last year. Glass Beams essential. Enjoyed the Fcukers boiler room. Mall Grab always decent.
Caribou and Peggy half decent. Solid first announcement.
TBH its the sort of event, i'd be opting to leave the kids behind
it's mostly 21-25 year olds all on something at it - with a few 30s but very much early/mid 20s last year.
The age group was very young last year. 18-25 year olds made up about 90% of the audience, everyone with phones out constantly. I hated the vibe in there to be honest. I love that line up announcement for this year but slim chance of grabbing a ticket this time around.
He/They were great at ATN a couple of years ago.
crowd will deffo skew older this year. 2023 with bicep was full of 30 year olds and above
Bicep played 2024. Did they also play 2023?
I went on the Sunday only last year (four tet, overmono, nelly furtado), so maybe the crowd was different on the Saturday with bicep, groove armada etc. Maybe nelly furtado attracted the really young crowd? Nobody seemed to know four tet, the crowd was so flat for his gig
They did a proper live show in 2022.
Didn't play in 2023.
They did their Chroma dj set thing last year.
I meant 2022 with the live show. The Sunday was skewing mid 30’s.
Four tet is not as popular here as his bookings suggest.
Putting four tet on the main stage and overmono clashing in a tent was a bad call from the organisers. Overmono was always going to attract a big audience and was massively overcrowded, where four tet’s sound fell flat on the stage. It would have been much better swapping the two around.
Belfast Ava festival announced its line up so expect a few of these to be added
I was there both days last year. No difference in the crowd between either day really, if anything the Saturday with Bicep headlining had a slightly younger crowd. I don't see anything in this year's lineup to suggest the crowd will be any different to last year.
I've not been since the washout for Bon Iver in '17. Grim times, fam.
Last year was young but it was well organised. I also didn't see any trouble or messiness at it.
well whether it’s early 20s dominated or mid 30s, come Sunday evening whenever Underworld are on, my grey haired soul and a couple of mid 40s mates will be jumping amongst them 😀
Yeah I'll be there, likely with a bunch in the mid to late 40s
they better have IPA beers on draft for all the 40 year old dads
The festival will have the usual swill. Keep the 17 years olds happy.
Presale tix from tomorrow. Trying to decide whether to buy now or hold off - very likely I'll go.
Do prices go up over time for this like with other festivals? I guess so but doesn't say so explicitly in the promo material…
I think the last time Caribou played Forbidden Fruit was 2011 on the Sunday as part of the support for Aphex Twin. And the sun blazed during Sun and Dan le Sac Vs The Scroobius Pip were also amazing. a memorable day.
