Is that because the 60kwh RWD isn't available anymore? If they have the smaller battery and single motor again it might be a little cheaper
I wonder will it? There are so many Teslas around now that it's kind of getting a bit tired. And there's not a lot of difference in styling between the models. The average car buyer probably wouldn't be able to tell the difference between a model 3 and a Y.
A few years ago it was a different story, but now with dozens of different brands and models to choose from, maybe people will look for something different.
Didn’t think of that. If the RWD SR model comes back, that was €45k from memory?
I paid €46521 IIRC.
Yep, 46.5k for white.
The standard range RWD was down to 42k in February of this year.
That is what I was thinking. It was nearing 40s with zero or close to zero finance offers. That won't be happening immediately after the refresh release, but could happen again in 6/12 months.
Hi, my mate is just to buy a new Model Y, what charger is recommended these days with them? just a standard home install. No other charge point, no solar
The best value one he can get. They are a glorified out door socket. BG Sync is €699 fitted after grant.
I have two chargers, the glorified plug is the best option
Coming up on 35k on my RWD Y and looking at tyres, what are people replacing on theirs? seen the non ev hakooks Ventus evo3's tyreleader are 70e cheaper then the ev version, is the priceworth it?
I replaced with exact same as it came with, evo3 T1s. Wasnt worth the risk (for me) of cheaper tyres being noisier or just perceived as noisier by other passengers and having to live with them (the tyres) for another 65k.
I swapped mine out for Pirelli PZero PZ4s. They're TO marked so Tesla Original rated and actually worked out slightly cheaper than the Hankooks.
I put Continental Allseasons Contacts on mine, I've been using those tyres on my cars for years and like how they perform in typical Irish road conditions.
New Model Y now on the Tesla Ireland site to order for May. "Launch Edition" only at a whopping €66k for LR AWD with paint, acceleration boost, nice wheels, and some sticky on plastic bits. Nah!
Oh, and 5.9% interest too, as compared to 0.99% for the outgoing model.
Clear out old stock before bringing in the mid 40k version I’d say.
looking to place an order on the outgoing model Y long range … but seems to be a different price at check out versus listing 46 990€ versus 48000€ at check out. Cant seem to find the reason for it and it is even cheaper for model 3 in check outs. Any one experienced this? Many thanks
The VRT cancels out the SEAI grant, and then they add on the delivery fee.
Virtually no vrt on the Model 3,as it's under 40k.
New Model Y launches in Ireland at €60,990. Launch edition Long Range All-Wheel Drive. Handy comparison tool on the site. On display from Jan 31st. Deliveries from March.
Actually €66500 once VRT is sorted. Deliveries in May, not March, according to Tesla.
your screenshot shows the price correctly.
Priced to cash in from initial hype / impatient buyers. It has to be around 45k for to start shifting in meaningful volumes (and shift it will… biggest threat to it is Elon Musk himself).
Sure the outgoing model is 48k, you think the new one will be (or should be) lower?
New shape is a bit like all the other Chinese models on the market to my eye, i.e. quite bland and generic looking.
it will be €48k when the “normal” model is released. The current LR AWD with the same extras is also €66k plus.
Yep, I thought the Model3H was lower than the older Model3. Also more competition from BYD, KIA, Hyundai etc and well, Elon Musk himself.
So the facelift MYLR isn't actually faster to 100km/h. They just added acceleration boost to the launch edition to fluff the figures
It’s .1 second faster. The old LR with AB is 4.4 to 60 from memory. It’s a family car so not really a major bone of contention to increase the 0-60 in that regards.
I've seen 4.3 on many YouTube videos on a flat gradient, but yes, it's plenty fast for a family car
Might actually be a mix up as the 4.3 is quoted to 60mph and the 4.4 is quoted for the 0-100kmh.
But the new model definitely quotes 4.3 to 100kmh so that's a slight improvement.
