The king is dead, long live the king.
With the 2024 season done and dusted and lots of chatter now about drivers and how they will perform for the 2025 season, thought it would be no harm to start a 2025 season thread.
Go!
Even at his peak Hamilton was never as fast a driver as Leclerc is. He wasn't even capable of consistently beating an average driver like Rosberg and needed to depend on Bottas to make him look good for several years before Russell came in and immediately beat him in his first season at Mercedes. Hard to imagine him getting anywhere near Charles now that he's past his best.
"Entrare Lì ,Lewis"
On that, is Bono engineering Kimi Antonelli this year?
I see HAAS will have an historic F1 first this year.
Well done to them. Great to see,

In more Lewis Hamilton news, Angela is back on his team...
Not great conditions for his first run.
If Sulayem was an American, he'd be a MAGA Republican for sure.
He needs to be gotten rid off. ASAP.
DIdnt he recently push through reforms giving him all sorts of new powers. He is almost untouchable..… shocking state of affairs.
All sporting administrators seem to be like that.
You could make an argument that the FIA need f1 far more than f1 need the FIA (although the FIA have a lot of power over the circuits), so you'd think he'd play nicer.
Never forget though, he is a driver:
Same, although I think it might take him the second half of the season to get used to his new surroundings and shine.
Posted in wrong thread
Eh I think you posted in the wrong thread this time lol.
Ha! Fair one.
Your welcome.
I'm probably out of sync with most people on this but I think Spa should be given a kind of protected status on the F1 calendar and be a guaranteed fixture each year. There might be 6 to 10 other races that deserve similar status.
Let the multitude of other venues rotate if necessary. The schedule should be reduced to 16 races too. There is way too many.
Of course none of this will ever happen.
I think 20 is plenty and that it needs to stay more Europe centric.
I don't mind it going to new places. But less middle Eastern races. The Americas are great for evening races here too, which is always appreciated.
Since google maps have updated their satellite images it’s highlighted the extent of the factory upgrades Aston Martin have made in the last couple of years, over the existing facilities that had remained similar from Jordan through to Force India. The difference is absolutely crazy, I wonder when it’ll start to pay off.
Nice Silverstone layout back left. Walkway I assume.
I was at Silverstone last year, drove past the Aston factory. It has a huge space. Hopefully Newey can get them ticking for 2026…
Ladies and gentlemen, you're 2026 World Champion, Lance Stroll!
Sulayem is driving a massive wedge between the FIA and the drivers, what we seen between Max and the FIA should have told them everything they need to know about it. Everyone pretty much agreeing with Max, typically you'll swear when expressing emotion anyway but add G forces, adrenaline and driving at 300kmh on top of that. This season could be an absolute sh!t show between Sulayem and the drivers. The sooner Sulayem is gone the better for F1s sake
The entire field of drivers should collectively agree to swear enough to get banned, and let the whole thing backfire on him by banning the entire field for a month…ideally during a triple header. People power on this one I reckon.
The team radio should be nothing but swear words in protest. Points deduction is a complete abuse of power especially if it was to lead to a team or driver losing the championship
Lewis:
queste gomme, amico
le mie gomme sono andate
Followed by his engineer saying:
quello è stato il giro più veloce lewis
What’s the Italian for:
“I can’t believed you guys f**king screwed me, man. I can’t tell you how pissed I am right now.”
Here you go,
Non ci posso credere che voi mi avete fottuto.
Non di tico quanto sono incazzato in quasto momento.
Nice, I’ll listen out for it on the radio messages.
With all the insane fanfare from the Brits, this is actually a well balanced article comparing Hamilton arrival and some of the actual reasoning after it. Its poles apart from when Schumacher arrived.
Even if they managed to build an utterly dominant car, Lance would still have to beat his team mate. They'd have to bring back someone like Mazepin or Sargent for that to be likely.
