That looks mid 80s that pink or horrible green were all the rage
As well as carpets in bathrooms
https://www.daft.ie/for-sale/terraced-house-48-the-commons-duleek-co-meath/5941331 Bit of an oddball this one: A bare floor in the living room, no wood or carpet Dual fridges in the kitchen The storage solution in the living room/bathroom is a bit odd. It just gives me a vibe of a business What's that hose in the bathroom sink connected to?
https://www.daft.ie/for-sale/bungalow-dunmakenna-lisnalong-ballybay-co-monaghan/5951210 Obviously a much loved home but the choice of decor is a little overpowering considering the size of the rooms
one's a fridge, one's a freezer, would be my guess.
That's a depressingly dark awful house. I'd hate to have to live in it
I would agree that is probably what they are. The real issue is the journey somebody has to take to go from the cooker to the fridge. You have to go out of your way to ignore the basic triangle of kitchen design where the cooker, sink and fridge forms a triangle of movement
Another 1970's time capsule….carpet central 😕
Dew Cottage, Dew Cottage, Spollanstown, Tullamore, Co. Offaly, R35D370 is for sale on Daft.ie
A lovely little house. Mental money for a 2 bed in Tullamore though.
It looks like a house that was loved. I had the same thought re the price.
and a BER of G 🥶
You really should look up how this is calculated as it is not very good. It may be very easy to upgrade some of the main issues. It's got PVC windows and a central heating system. Probably needs insulation in the attic and new light bulbs to bring it up a lot
Those floor tiles are horrific.
Yeah I like it, you have the good room, the dinning room and the parlour with the piano where the real craic went down back in the 80s I expect.
But it's one of those houses you can smell the decay from the photo's, nothing done to it for 30 year's I'd say.
Cracking site and I like the interior layout, but probably hides a lot of problems and I expect the poa betrays a stupidly high valuation.
One to come back to next year maybe when it's still on the market.
The room in photo 21 must be haunted, if not by the deceased, but the former occupants that had to see that carpet every day of their young lives.
That is some find all right….carpet on carpet crimes against interior decor everywhere you look ha, it's not even nice looking outside.
Jayzus Joe what would ya do with it altogether….
I was looking at the living area photo's thinking yeah a bit of a time capsule, then step upstairs and your transported right back to the late 60s I'd say, amazing.
Not a house to drop acid in, or maybe it's THE house to drop acid in if you want a 60/70's fcked up trip ha.
The site is lovely, the house I would auction the interior of some of the rooms off to idiots in London that pay for this kitsch crap, or rent it out for movie shoots but not sure the whole Austin Powers thing is coming back.
That's the Pembroke house? Confession time…that carpet was from the 70s and at the time I loved it. I wanted that carpet! I didn't get it, maybe it was too expensive, I can't remember, but it was one that appealed to me. I'm not saying I would go for it now, I wouldn't, but then, I have hard floors everywhere now.
https://www.daft.ie/for-sale/detached-house-the-lake-house-cameron-island-coolbawn-coolbawn-co-tipperary/5912777 Has this been on here before? The splendid isolation. If I had the money I'd really consider that.
very nice, wonder how the fishing is, how does one get to it? Seems fairly far from road with no path thru the wood on satellite
By boat!
"the grounds are manageable"
i wonder what they intended to mean. also;
"the accommodation is compact at approximately 2,008 square feet"
Such an odd kitchen choice.
As i was flicking through the photos, I was exhausted just thinking of the work involved in maintaining those grounds!
They'rebeautiful, but you'd nearly need a gardener (or nothing else to me doing yourself, and a lot of skills and energy!)
Well, without land-based access you're probably not going to find many landscapers willing to service the place, so you might well be on your own keeping up with the garden…
Yes, you'd be constantly bending down as there are no (above counter) cupboards.
I don't have wall units either as I my wife would need a step ladder all the time. It is more the fact the fridge is in the unit somewhere so you would be walking around the island all the time just doing normal cooking
I love it, but the lack of vehicular access would be a deal breaker for me.
Other than that, there is very little I would change about it, maybe some of the furniture.
It is not actually an island, it is attached to the mainland but the site does not have any access or right of way overland.
I hope it’s included in price, there does look like an overgrown path in that direction, there must have been one to get building materials onto the site
most of the 100 acres seem to be woods from satellite
Yeah wouldn't be a fan tbh. The rest is lovely
what an odd layout too - entrance hall → study → main bedroom and litchen/living.
