New Thread to continue discussion for General Premier League. Old thread closed.
That is what he was trying to say, but it quite clearly hit his arm.
Trossard maybe should have scored there too, albeit that may have been subjected to a VAR review too.
Poor last ditch freekick from Odegaard and the FT whistle is blown. 2-2
96 minute of the game. Villa player kicks the ball away to stop a quick restart and the ref ignores it.
Refs really don't do themselves any favours.
Arsenal bottle another key game
Anybody else now hate when a team is about to take a set piece the set piece coach has to go down and stand on the side line while the camera always pans to him. Happened several times in that game
Splendid. Was watching Leinster game and just turned over to see it didn't finish 2-0
it was a bit Spursy
Hahahaha the sad sack in the stand
Thats it,Slot has had some season, fair play, Arsenal have regressed, this was ther chance with City gone
As blatant as it gets. He might not mean it but it was going wide if it didn’t hit his hand
Thats the difference between having a 90M player that ya can bring off the bench and having 3 academy players on yours.
Delicious
Loving that guy Sky focused on back in the studio.
He's still there banging seats
Iraola definitely going to get a big job sooner than later. Only thing is all the big English clubs look to be set manager wise for the time being. The only one who potentially might be on a hot seat is Ange at Spurs.
Is that the fella everyone says is useless?
here's a vid of the disallowed goal. no idea how gary is so confident it will be disallowed. i cannot spot a handball on this replay.

He’s been watching too much Arteta
Only one team with the mega mind set piece guru from what I see, does it happen with other teams?
I didn't see the match but that looks like it hits the inside of his right forearm just under the elbow?
clearly hits his right arm
It was clear as day. You always have an idea from the reaction of the opposition
This is going to be a proper old school league race. Liverpool and Arsenal did unbelievably well to challenge City in recent years but had to win nearly every single game to keep the league competitive.
But this year the mid range non-traditional teams like Bournemouth, Brighton, Fulham, Palace, Brentford are all more capable of getting results. There’ll be a lot more points dropped before the end of the season.
The lad with long grey hair is Villa's I believe
Here's a better quality clip. Looks to change direction off his right arm.
just watched the sky analysis, and yes. its very clear on the 2nd replay, handball.
I thought it was off his stomach on first replay. Neville seemed very confident. The next few replays were a bit clearer.
I know that's a handball by the current law. But it shouldn't be. His hand is by his body, in a natural position and he makes no movement towards it. It's completely against the spirit of the game to call that handball.
But on the other side the deflection off the arm has completely wrong footed the keeper.
So if it hits your hand when it's going wide and your hand redirects it into the goal it's against the spirit of the game!!!
Normally I'd agree but the fact that it literally went in off his arm means it has to be given as handball I think, regardless of where the arm was positioned
He does make a movement though, he swings or pivots his body and the movement of the arm/body diverts the ball into the net. I'd be annoyed of my team was penalized for it, but if he didn't move in they manner he'd have taken the ball in the midrift and there would have been no goal.
Yes. I think so. It used to be a deliberate handball. That wasn't. I know people won't agree with me.
I hate how the same thing is reffed differently depending on where that happens. If that's a shot for villa that hits havertz like that and it stops a goal then it's not a penalty. As his hand is in a natural position.
The rule no longer punishes the actual offense. It punishes the outcome. Hand in a natural position that stops a goal, fine. Hand in a natural position that causes a goal, not fine.
