I'll post the rumour, but this Switch 2 dock looks different from the other leaks. I thought the front lip was supposed to be lower.
Glad you're enjoying all the rumours and leaks but it's tedious at this stage.
If I know how the internet acts, that finger is going to have it's fingerprint scanned to identify the person and find out if they work for Nintendo.
I've heard rumours of a Nintendo jail so it's probable that they'll end up there.
Nah, that's probably a screw missing off one of the high quality new Pro Controllers.
An employee at the MITSUMI factory in Shandong, China shared some information on the bilibili website.

4.About quality, production environment. The new pro controller feels very good and is more delicate than the 1st generation. However, I don’t know how the quality control is. Many of the newly opened assembly lines have a large number of new people working on a temporary basis. There are few old employees. At the beginning, screws were missed, buttons were missed, threads slipped, the paint surface of the button shell was scratched, and the buttons rebounded and became sticky. Various questions. The squad leader was so anxious that he was holding everyone in his mouth. It's getting a lot better now. The basic quality inspection found any faults. I'm afraid something might slip through the net. After buying it, check to see if there are any scratches on the handle and rocker. The right trigger button is most likely to stick and not bounce when pressed. Try it.
he was holding everyone in his mouth
I'm pretty sure I've seen a similar video.
So is it the 16th or 17th that was the latest date?
I seem to recall supposed delays for a previous announcement for a Direct or something due to something happening in America similar to the LA fires. So wonder if that could be a factor here.
Today's Penny Arcade strip feels apropos to this thread.
……
The announcement we've all been waiting for.
Nintendo sure know how to time things.
😂😂😂
Oh, Nintendo….
When this does get announced what's the best place/way to get one on launch day?
Smyths. Someone posted on the PS5 thread that preorders were live on their site and I got mine in in time to get one.
Yeah will probably turn on my twitter notifications for Smyths just before launch as well as watching here of course.
Assassin’s Creed games and Metal Gear Solid Delta tipped for Switch 2 release
Thanks all. Will my ear out here and with Smyths so!

Seems odd that they'd downclock the cpu when docked, compared to handheld mode?
Nintendo always downclock their hardware. It gives them greater reliability, less heat, less chance of breakdown, etc.
That's not what they're getting at - they're specifically pointing out that the specs you posted indicate that the GPU is clocked higher in docked mode than handheld mode, but the CPU is slightly downclocked in docked mode. It's a matter of a few MHz clockspeed but does still seem a bit of a "for such a small change is it worth it at all?" case.
The leaker most likely got their numbers mixed up. There's no reason why the CPU clock speed would go down when docked.
I see that now. There must be some sort of mistake there. I don't think swapping them would make sense either.
Id be happy with a locked 60 fps 1080p when docked. Im not up on what the teraflops mean in real terms but Id much prefer that to 30fps 4k or upscaling. A new mario kart locked at 60 fps for local 3 / 4 players please.
1440p 60fps would be a lovely target but even the Xbox Series X and PS5 Normal struggle at these resolutions. I don't see the point in 4k 30fps other than a 4k UI and video support e.g YouTube, again this is another resolution that the current generation of consoles struggle with and the Switch 2 is likely to struggle with them even more so.
Got a good 1080p projector recently from the amazon bargains thread. Sold my Switch a while back so looking forward to giving it a go with Mario Kart on Switch 2. Screen running about 3 to 4 metres wide on the living room wall.
I'm the same, no real interest in the specs and numbers other than wanting no more games dropping to sub-20fps in places (cough Links Awakening, etc.) A locked 1080p at 60fps is a sweet foundation, then the DLSS tech can do what it wants after that.
Nintendo will always push the boundaries on the 3D Zeldas, so they'll be 30 FPS I bet regardless, and you'll have to buy the next console to see them in 60 FPS. So I bet Switch 2 will do BOTW in 60 FPS, but the new 3D Zelda on there will be 30 FPS.
Mario kart will be 60 FPS for 1 player and 30 for multi player.
I hope I'm wrong and everything is 60 FPS, but ...
If Nintendo follows in the same footsteps as Switch, the announcement for the Switch 2 reveal should be dropping in less than 3 minutes.
When are Nintendo ever predictable? I wasn't the only one expecting an announcement at that time.
If it's happening later today, it must be a shadow drop at this point.
