FYI,
The Waterford v Cork game above is now at 2pm
Full time in the fundraiser today
Waterford: 0-10 Cork: 1-15
Sounds like a nice workout with everyone getting a point each. The main thing is the fund raising for Brian Greene though
Found a few videos of scores on the Clubber twitter page
Alan Connolly score here
Great touch from here from Power
Shane Kingston score
I saw an interview after the game and Darragh Fitzgibbon said there are 45 players in training at the moment and challenge games to come before the league starts.
Great to see that kind of competition for places
Is Jack Leaky part of the panel. Saw him play for the University this year. Nice player
I'm fairly sure he is on the extended panel alright
Dalton at centre forward might work, we need a bit more muscle there. When you add a few club players that are in the club finals, there will be savage competition for places. Nice to see Mullins and Cunningham in particular involved.
Pat Ryan said after the game that Daniel Hogan will have a chance to make a claim for a spot after the Club finals. Obviously Jack O'Connor and Cathal McCarthy will be involved too like last year
He said the subs in the game yesterday will be starting against UCC on Thursday night as he planned it this way.
Daire O'Leary won't be involved at the moment as he has started work as a Garda in Kildare but it feels like the door is open for him down the line.
Is Jack O'Connor going travelling or is it just a rumour?
I haven't heard that rumour at all. Hope its not true him going away. Pat Ryan didn't say anything about him going away after the game yesterday. He did say about Daire O'Leary not being involved.
He said “We have three Sars lads – Daniel Hogan has come into the panel, Cathal McCarthy and Jack O’Connor. Obviously, the two boys were involved last year with us and Daniel’s a new fella into the panel.”
i thought Shane Barrett had a fantastic year at centre forward.. real livewire.. unfortunately like many other Cork players didnt have his best day against Clare.. but taking him away from there will hit his confidence hard.. im not sure about Dalton.. a very hot and cold type player… when hes good hes very very good.. but can be very poor too.. superb striker of a ball though..
He has some smack of the ball. A good option across the 40, we were a bit light for options there.
Kilmurry v Ulster champions from Donegal 2pm Sundayn12th in Parnell Park. Anyone know mich about the Donegal champions?
Cork Hurling team to play UCC tomorrow night. 12 changes to the team. Diarmuid Healy makes his first senior appearance for Cork with Alan Walsh and Jack Cahalane given first starts.
All proceeds go to the Dillon Quirke Foundation as well.
Cork players on UCC team also. Surely Sars players are not playing in this though? The final is next week?
Full time in the Canon Michael O’Brien Cup
Cork 6-22 (40) UCC 0-14 (14)
Training game really with a good spread of scorers
Lachtains goal after 20 min puts them 1-5 to 0-4 ahead of Russell Rovers. On TG4
That goal seperates them at ht. Rovers doing well with 3 points in a row after the goal went in. Close game.
St Lachtains just that bit better, scores coming a bit easier for them, 1-13 to 0-10 after 40 min
7 down with 10 to go, better team by far winning, using the long ball well throughout the game.
ST Lachtains 1-18 Russell Rovers 0-16 FT
Great credit to Russell Rovers for fighting to the end. Got it down to a goal with 2 mins injury time left but dropping long ball to their full forward line who were up against an extra man proved to be their failing time and time again in the last quarter.
early lead for Kilmurry
Hill have settled well anf that goal has them a point up. Looks like there could be a few goals there for them today.
Unreal run by daire O'Leary there - another goal going a begging.
Kilmurry level after 45 min
WGH 4 up at HT
4 up at ht, playing well, should be further ahead.
WAtergrasshill asleep for 20 mins, fell behind but now a point up.
Kilmurry a drawn game, gone to et and scored 1-01 already.
What a game! Some unbelievable scores from both sides. A real ding dong battle!
Neither side deserved to lose but I thought the way the Hill kept fighting a little bit more gave them the edge in the end!
All Ireland Championa! Delighted for them. What a way to win it !!
Well done to all in Watergrasshill. some finish to the game
