My understanding is that Senekal told quite a few people here in Galway that his preference was to extend his contract and stay. When that option was off the table he did what almost every rugby coach does - avoided any unnecessary media fuss, finished out his season, and concentrated on finding a new job elsewhere.
I think 1 or 2 matches would be a good outcome for both sides. Probably some sort of (suspended) fine for Connacht.
I'd absolutely love to see a source for this…
The one thing going for Mack is he's an Irish International, if he was an NIQ player coming out attacking refs after a game he'd have the book thrown at him.
My theory on those Stats and from watching Connacht: 1 Step forward. 2 Steps back.
They get to the edge and get driven back when they come back inside. Plus they make a load of handling errors.
As you said; its predictable.
Play beyond second receiver the most
Play wide the most
11th best dominant carry %
13th best gainline success %
I feel the Wilkins bashing is a bit OTT. Props and Locks arent very good in the tight. Decent lineout though.
Shay'moose' resigning is excellent news.
Any word on Sean Jansen?
There is none. All of that talk is absolute nonsense. Just ignore the poster
Jansen just signed an extension, no worries on length atm
I'd love to bait that poster into actually taking accountability for the tripe they pedal
Contract extension for Shane Jennings as well, also no term given as of yet
2 great re-signings today
Agreed, although I do think Jansen is a bit of a risk from an injury perspective. Only time will tell. Jennings is class and I hope we see more and more of him.
Furlo on Twitter is reporting that's Jansen is a 2 year deal and Jennings is one year with the option of an additional year
Delighted we seem to have secured SHL, Boyle, Jennings, Ben Murphy, and Jansen for next season. All add quality.
Likely on the way out either through retirement, non-selection, or no contract renewal are McBurney, Sean O'Brien, Reilly, Carty, Ioane, and Porch. We can also be worried about Tucker taking to Munster with him (if his departure is sealed and delivered) lads like Dooley and Illo.
Outhalf (and someone who can kick) remains the crucial missing ingredient. We need to move heaven and earth to get one of Frawley, Harry Byrne or Tector into the system for next year with Sean Naughton promoted into the senior squad.
Soooo, the initial complaint is that one party is treated differently than another, at least partly because of that party’s status within the game. I assume that you are in agreement with this and that you are therefore unhappy. Your solution seems to be that the second party should in turn be treated differently than another, again because of his own status within the game. Would you be happy with this example of bias but not the first?Hansen was and continues to be out of order, and the game itself is diminished by his comments and behaviour.
Muldoon literally tells the story at functions. Shows you are not involved in rugby. Funny how you can attack me? I thought you are not allowed to attack posters on this site ?
He literally tells the story at functions. Are you involved in rugby or more of a gaa man who chats online ?
Scott fardy is gone. Was taking away from defensive coach and move to contact coach and now players are getting red cards.
Heard Andrew Browne will be replacing him
Actually, never mind. You're not worth my time.
At least people know you aren't involved in rugby just someone who chats online
I'm involved in Connacht rugby as a referee and a coach of kids. I attend many meetings and functions throughout the year. I've never heard Muldoon spout the crap you are saying he does and I've met him a few times in person and I've never heard anybody say he does either.
Hansen banned for three matches.
Mack hansen banned for 3 games
Connacht fined 10,000
Hansen has to make a full apology to Chris Busby
That's not too bad. Was thinking they might throw the book at him to make an example of him. Good to have him playing for 6 nations
fair enough.
No impact on Ireland so that’s a bonus
Wow! Did not see that coming! Never mind player safety, much more important for the authorities to stop whistleblowers I guess
not sure how i feel about this.
while on one hand i expected less, due to his impeccable disciplinary record, i feel they had to make a strong statement against players suggesting referees were biased in their decisions.
id like to see what the original ban was before mitigation applied, ie was it 6 down to 3?
whistleblowing???
did Hansen uncover some conspiracy of silence?
Usual mitigation is 50% for good behaviour but there's also an option to attend courses and drop it by a week
My guess, and this is just a guess
8 weeks starting point
50% off for previous good behaviour
Further 1 week reduction for apologising
If that was the case I'd consider not apologising
The option for course attendance is relatively new and usually only for tackle related issues. Tackle school. Which isn't case for majority of foul play areas.
Not apologising is just foolish and would get you in further trouble later on potentially and isn't a good luck. No need not to.
Course as long as he is free for Ireland 🙄Its essentially punishing Connacht again which is what his issue was in first place.
They are pushing him out the door to France.
