I've never once seen a thread like this specially devoted to Nolan with such large numbers showing such contempt as I have seen in this thread. Perhaps I missed it.
There have been numerous discussions regarding Judge Nolan over the last few years. Many threads discussing someone getting off with a light sentence has involved mentions of Judge Nolan, even where he wasn't the judge over the case (ie. people querying if Nolan was the judge because he's known for giving light sentences for heinous crimes).
The trouble is discussion of a judge is more difficult because it usually ends up discussing on-going cases which isn't permitted for legal reasons. Similarly how this thread is often temporarily closed when one of the Burke's many cases is before a court.
The reason this thread has so many responses is because of how long it's been going on for, the numerous incidents involving the rest of the family, and the huge amount of disinformation and lack of understanding about the case (like I said in a previous post, I've just gone another Christmas of having to explain to family members that Burke's not in prison for refusing to use a student's preferred pronouns).
So yes, discussion of Judge Nolan is a completely seperate matter to this thread.
Ironically it was A Judge Nolan that freed Enoch this time.
Going by the names of the kids and the, ahem, quantity of them I'd imagine Sean & Martina were committed to their particular path in life before any of them were born. Although I suppose they'd know the broad outlines…

Yes and then cue the inevitable bleating that he has been incarcerated so long while ignoring the fact that he has been released numerous times with an opportunity to not go back in.

Well no he was convicted of assault.
He was sentenced to 2 months in prison with the option of it being suspended, an option he refused.
He is in prison because he was found guilty of assaulting a female guard first and foremost.
The fact that Daddy couldn't at least try not to be a scumbag for 12 months is secondary.

The laws are generally fine. It's those that don't respect them that are the problem.

I don't agree. It may look that way because of this particular situation but the majority of released prisoners seem to try and avoid reoffending and certainly avoid instantly reoffending. He's not really flaunting the law when the courts and authorities dictate when he is released and when he is sent back in. He has no power to show up at the school without the courts releasing him.
